Don't let kids win, it cheapens any victory in future. Instead: 1) While learning suggest moves and explain why, think out loud, help them learn by explaining why 2) Give your self a handicap, adjust as they learn - that way they earn and deserve their wins, and can change / reduce handicap. Kids are familiar with game difficulty level, they will get it.

I'm very torn on the subject of letting kids win games on purpose. I had a little brother that was born when I was 18, and by the time we played games I was around 20 something. I don't think I ever let him win, but tried to make it as close as possible. I feel kinda bad about it but I'm not sure why, and I don't think I'd do it again tbh
