As a cancer patient who had to go through a mastectomy, I look at some of hese women with so much compassion. Because before cancer, I would constantly criticize my breasts and body. But truth be told, all breasts are beautiful. And even though I have only one left, I am grateful that it's healthy and still part of me. You are all beautiful and sexy, regardless of what you think is wrong with your breasts. I hope you can heal enough to see it too.

My mother went through a mastectomy too as part of treatment for her breast cancer. It’s so interesting because before, she was never self conscious about her body. But after - she fusses and worries about getting the right inserts to make sure her breast”s” are even. It breaks my heart a little and I hope she can find acceptance again like you did.

I had a double mastectomy for BC and chose to get the other taken off because I didn't want to have just one. Got implants even though I didn't want them, then 9mths later had them removed and have been flat for 5yrs. Not the most ideal for clothing/tops, and now my belly sticks out more but it is what it is lol.

@@ashlees.4750 Hi! I heard that there are issues with implants, and this is why I don’t plan on getting one. Bravo for putting yourself first and getting it out! When it comes to clothing, yes, we have more criteria than the average person when buying clothes, but it’s ok. Because we get to do it! We are alive. That’s all that matters. My belly sticks out too on my mastectomy part. Loose fitting clothes and patterns are great. But a lot of times, I wear whatever. People don’t care that much. My healthy breast is big, but people don’t care/ever said anything. And since the statistics show that in a few decades 1 in 4 women could get cancer, I want to normalise our bodies so I don’t wear inserts or anything similar. This journey was/is hard already, we should’t have to focus on these superficial issues too. Take care! It will get better and better!

growing up as a late bloomer, i was bullied throughout elementary, middle, and high school for having small boobs. people would say i looked like a boy, plank of wood, child, flat, oh i’ve heard them all ! it was one of my biggest insecurities up until a few years ago when i started connecting with my body more and seeing the beauty in it away from societal beauty standards ( that are constantly shifting )

Every time something in middle school was mentioned about anything being flat i.e. "flat earth" etc, someone would say "like her boobs" and it really made me feel insecure up to the point of praying for boobs, so I relate to you a lot. I'm happy now with how practical they are and seeing that no partner ever had a problem with how small they are, but it did take a while to get there. I'm glad you got there as well and hope everyone reading this, will too🫶🏼

I had breast cancer (25 years ago). Lumpectomy, small scar. I’ve always liked my boobs, especially when I was young and wore a 34B cup. Now my breasts have gotten larger and lower. I’ve always LOVED nipple stimulation and I’m glad the girls are still here and cancer-free (so far). Once you’ve had a breast cancer, you have PTSD and scanxiety every time you have a mammo or breast ultrasound.

Glad to see fellow breast cancer survivors being represented. I haven't worn a bra in 5yrs but I used to have great boobs lol. Now I'm completely flat chested (concaved unfortunately), no nipples, several scars. Doesn't help my body image but nothing I can do about it or worth dwelling on. Eh sometimes I love mine but mostly find them a pain (literally and figuratively!) Despite many fittings over the years the weight of them caused indents on the shoulders and I get back/shoulder/neck pain a lot... but they were what genetics gave me and I don't have the money for a reduction 😅

I would be fine with the size they are now if I didn't have so much trouble finding clothes and especially bras that fit me the way I want them to. I have plus sized boobs and I have to look in the plus size section to look for bras. Then they have these straps that are always falling off no matter how thick the strap is. But the rest of me is just medium. So finding something that will fit my boobs and the rest of me is a struggle.
