Shields are useless in hardcore. I speak from experience. Theres a delay when the shield works, and its officially counted as a bug in the minecraft bug tracking jira service desk. So many times i died because the shield either broke so quickly due to the onslaught of mobs or a creeper exploding even though the shield was up.

I agree. I am tired of seeing eRobb make bad decisions and then throw tantrums like it wasn't his fault. It's cringe. If he cannot deal with the possibility of death in a game where there are hostile mobs, he should not play in Hardcore mode. He appears 11 times in this video. At least with XQC, some of the deaths are just unlucky, like at 3:20 when he unintentionally threw the Ender Pearl when it entered his inventory space after he ate the last piece of food. I mean, come on. Even Philza does not rage like eRobb does, and Philza's world featured in this video (I think?) started the entire Hundred Days challenge genre that we all know and love today. And he accepts what happens, like getting glitched out of the world at 10:20, which is in my opinion an unfair way to die, as it is a glitch. Still, he does not rage. From what I have seen, Philza is fully geared and has been playing for a long time on the world when he dies, and I would be more frustrated to lose a world where I have crazy gear than a world where I have not gotten diamonds yet, as is the case from what I can see in most of eRobb's clips. Note. If this is considered flaming, I apologize as it is completely unintentional. I am just expressing my opinion in agreement with the original poster 3313.

That xQc clip at 3:14 is tragically amazing in so many ways, because you wouldn't know what happened unless you paid attention. If he had chose to eat any of the other food items in his inventory, he would have survived; the bread, the potatoes, the porkchops, the fish, all of which would have kept him alive. But the perfect storm of the Enderman dropping a pearl, which itself is rare, mixed with him being so panicked he selected the porkchops but then swapped over to choosing the single apple in his inventory, mixed with him picking up the pearl before the sand block right beside it, also mixed with him being at exactly 2 hearts. All of which combined perfectly to make such a beautifully tragic moment, and the fact it wasn't scripted is absolutely phenomenal. Cinema can only wish to capture such a level of beauty.

Actually happened to me once, it wasn't a hard-core world, I was in the middle of a speed run and my axe broke with a finishing blow to an enderman, but I didn't realize it until I tried blocking my shield at a nearby skeleton and ended up using the pearl which had replaced my broken axes slot and died

I’ve actually had something similar to 7:35 happen to me, I was in a cave in full diamond gear with max enchanted pick and I went to fight a creeper near a lava pool, placed water down to block the lava, creeper exploded sending me towards the lava faster than the water did and the water obsidianed me in the lava and my pick was barely not fast enough, I was heartbroken 😂

Most of the deaths could have been avoided easily if they werent overconfident or careless or distracted. Playing at a slow pace, cautious and patient wins it in the end. Creeperdeaths are nasty. I try to clear the area, before i enter a generated structure like a desert temple

I think i lost like over 20 worlds with full diamond equipment and almost finding netherite and 15 or more then that worlds with normal diamond tools and iron armour and i mostly died by cave and very few times in nether and i recently died with full enchanted diamond armour and full enchanted diamond tools yesterday but still 😢 Every time i die i keep getting better

8:30 The streamer was so close to surviving. You only take void damage when you are 64 blocks below the world. The streamer was flying back up, but was still in the void, causing him to take damage. I slowed it down to see how far into the void he was when he died. When he took the final bit of damage that killed him, his Y coordinate was -64. If he was just one block higher at that point in time, he would have lived.
