My grandparents had a couple chairs like that. Oddly enough my grandfather had dug them out of the trash and restored them back in the 60s

I love these chairs. My grandparents kept one and I really liked the wood and metal construction as a kid, growing up in the 70's.

This is amazing. Brings back memories of when I worked in an interior design shop as a seamstress and upholster.

Outstanding!!!! The brown leather cushions ate spot on!!!! I have a real soft spot for the amazing craftsmanship of the arts and craft style. So simple but made to last!!! The secret for keeping them , or anything actually, is to take care of them!!!! I constantly feed and condition my furniture and leather! I would rope it all off if I could 😉 alas a big family makes that difficult so I just follow around constantly cleaning.

This restoration is stunning, but the best thing that you've ever found? You'd better make it clear to the Mrs. that this statement does NOT include her! I think that you made an excellent choice in having the cushions professionally done. They look amazing and together with you expert restoration, they have created an heirloom piece. Thanks for this outstanding video. You're a stud, no doubt about it.

As a lover of Crafstman and Arts and Crafts houses and furniture, that chair turned out BEAUTIFUL!!!! What was it you said you used for the rust?
@AlleyPicked Жыл бұрын
2 products I use for rust are Ospho and "Klean Strip concrete and metal prep". Both work great. I think the Ospho may include a rust inhibitor as well...

I have a 1940's Lincoln desk made by a Chicago area furniture factory, they are pretty valuable, I was given it by a guy moving and didn't have room for it. I don't want to mess it up, If you would want it I live near Cleveland, oh.

Thank you for the offer. I live near Chicago. Don't think that will work out but I appreciate it anyway. Tom
