100-YEAR-OLD Waterman's Ideal 52 1/2V Fountain Pen...Can It Be Restored?

This is a 1920s Waterman's Ideal 52 1/2V Chased Black Rubber Gold Filled Ring Top Fountain Pen. These were made in the early part of the 1900s, and this example is likely over 100 years old. Will it still work after all these years?

Very nice job and a really nice pen! Regarding your ink starvation issues, I think Pelikan ink has a reputation for being very dry. That might be why you were having flow issues.

Great job! I have a Waterman's Ideal 0512 1/2 VPSF i need to restore, but i cant get the body off of the section. I've soaked it several times in warm water days in a row to no avail. Its a metal body pen, would a hairdryer work?

I have a 1910 waterman 12 with cracked cap, this is made of hard rubber apparently, from what I understand there is not an adhesive that will fix this, I have two thoughts use some shrink wrap tubing for electrical connections, the other is the use of a brass olive which could be polished and sealed with nail varnish, does any of this seem plausible to you? Thank you.
