Very nice! I thought I saw the wheel pant sliding on the gear at 16:08...maybe an optical illusion

Amazing! My father helped co-found the SSB (Soaring Society of Boulder) and owns a Phoenix motor glider. He'd be happy to take you up soaring (engine on and off) along the flatirons, he's on the MH370 independent investigation team. Thanks for the great content
@StefanPaton18 сағат бұрын
If your father is on the MH 370 investigation team do you know if he is familiar with the Channel on KZbin called “Ashton Forbes” 4 Orbs ? He also is looking into the MH 370 “Disappearance” ! Today on his channel he is interviewing Avi Loeb the renowned physicist and they talk about the possibility for the “Disappearance” of the MH 370 ! Very interesting conversation that they have ! He has a video that shows the exact moment that the plane “Disappears” and possibly how it happened! Seeing that there were some very important scientists onboard that aircraft that were potentially working for some other Government agencies and that they had knowledge of some type of technology that they were going to give to some other Government! Very fascinating KZbin channel to say the least! Just thought I would share this with you since you mentioned MH 370 !

Alex's grandfather attended the AAA National Fly-in here at Antique Airfield (Blakesburg) in 1971 in the Davis. He flew it round trip from Mexico City ! It was also voted Sweepstakes Antique at the Fly-in Would be interested in learning more about his grandfather's Kreutzer Tri Motor as well. It likely could be the only one still extant,. Registered as XB-AHO when in Mexico (now NC-612A) it was restored as part of Greg Herrick's Golden Wings Flying Museum in MN, now in IL.
@PA46TP16 сағат бұрын
You are correct on both counts. The Davis is currently being restored up in Michigan (slow process), which we hope to have back in the air possibly next year. The Kreutzer (XB-AHO) was used to fly payroll in the mines of Chihuahua, and it is part of Greg Herrick's collection.

@@PA46TP Would be great to see the Davis here at Antique Airfield again when it's finished ! The Kreutzer is now owned by Mike George in IL . It attended our Fly-in here at Antique Airfield in both 1999 & again in 2022. It was voted Grand Champion Antique both times.

Some cool history there, the end with the glider was not to different from the glider I went up in decades ago. We were towed up by I believe a Piper Cub it was the first tow for the pilot who looked like he was 16 but was an aircraft carrier pilot.

This is so awesome, I did an illustration of a Waco with same color scheme, wondering if this is the one that was in South Africa? SA registration was ZS-JMG. Love your videos! Link to youtube short of my illustration: kzbin.info8OWpJSt1AKQ?si=9JqAppiRA06uaIpZ
