My CFI says a 182 is too fast to train in. A couple of others have agreed. Opinions?

This is my first comment and had been watching it as regularly as I can what attracts me more to this is Galveston Island I lived in Beaumont TX in the '80s and had to move in the early 90s and I missed Texas and Galveston was always my weekend getaways so many fond memories I can't wait for my next trip to Texas I'll be stopping in I want a bird's eye view of the island I'm not a pilot and I'm not afraid to fly.

GREAT Video!!! I used to fly into Georgetown on a regular basis. I don’t fly there much anymore because they have a controller there that’s a real A-hole ! If I tune into there frequency and I hear him I don’t go there. He mumbles and has an attitude if you ask him to repeat something. That’s a shame to it’s a very nice airport.

Next time you are flying ask to see the light gun signals. At my tower we will give you the signals when you are on final so you know what to look for. Great training.

I find at least to things that don’t instill confidence. First their equipment goes down when it rains and the fact he doesn’t know all the acronyms.

I trained in a taylorcraft as well. But my trim was the flappy paddles under the seat. Loved it so much i bought one. I Always wanted to fly in a champ. Everyone seems to love them

If I'm 1200 active but need to spin 7600 do I need to select standby prior to spinning through 3456 and 345 then reselect active? When doing so when should identify be selected?
@SamothRetsof
@SamothRetsof 10 сағат бұрын
Depends on the transponder design but ideally it’s best to go standby first. You’ll also be able to double check you’re not accidentally squawking 7500 or 7700 first.

Great idea Emma and Cole! Love your BTS in the cockpits and this is a really interesting aviation angle. The possibilities are endless where you can go with these insights. FBOs, training schools, maintenance!? Just make sure you keep flying since that's where y'all shine. Thanks!

Yes. This is an improved version of CJ-5, a license copy of Yak-18. The major improvement was the tricycle landing gear. This is a very easy going airplane, and I believe it is still being used as the first trainer in PLAAF.

This is Mike May. I’ve also flew it at blakesburg. Him and his wife are amazing people. And this plane is impressive to say the least. I believe he made the wings 6 inch wider he told me and I thinks is a fuel injected 0-320? He is a ap-ia with his own aviation shop in Nebraska. Great guy

I came real close to buying a Mooney M20F. Good model plane, but the prebuy inspection said to run away. Ended up with a Grumman and have been really happy with that. Still much respect for the Mooney.

Anyone reading this should know that this parachute is installed by necessity because the plane couldn’t pass the spin test. Also, the DA40-NG and Cessna 172 have less fatalities combined per 100k flying hours than the cirrus 20 and 22.
