13:50 The cool thing about the J430 is that after MOSAIC, it will qualify as Light Sport and can be flown by a Sport Pilot (with only one passenger). That is the plane I want.

Thanks for the video. I wondered what went on over there. I have talked to nick on the phone about buying a Jabiru airplane after mine was destroyed by Helene. But I have to go to Texas to fly one. Maybe this summer.

Neat. I like Dynon but they should free themselves from convention and outclass Garmin with much larger displays. Easy dirt cheap win. Display panel size costs nothing today and avionics is posturing with 10inches. They should make models in 16 to 24" inches. And of course have integrated certified WAAS GPS so the little 19k$ "nav" unit isn't needed. And even get them certified. With a bit of legwork Cirrus might adopt them and that could be 1000 planes per year. The first car looked exactly like a horsedrawn carriage just without the horse. When it could have looked like a Tesla Model 3. Never be an unquestioning product of status quo.

Maybe I missed something: WHERE and/or WHAT is supposed to be 'bizarre' about ANY of those aircraft? You finally choose to just do ALL 'clickbait' crap?
@ExperimentalAircraftChannel10 күн бұрын
Yes. Our new format for 2025 is ALL Clickbait "Crap" for you. 100$ 😅 No sir. Just being a bit edgy is all. There are many odd jobs in there and bizarre adaptations from the stock kits. Sorry to disappoint. Join us on the NEXT ones as there is something here for everyone. Thanks for asking the time to express your opinion here. LOVE people who take ACTION! What are you building or thinking about building?
@jrbailey320810 күн бұрын
@ExperimentalAircraftChannel At this juncture all I'm trying to build is a Walking corpse that is less physically agonising on a daily basis. I suffer from malignant congestive heart failure class 3, copd, herniations, compressions, and something wrong in the thoracic region of my spine, and sundry other health problems since I happen to be a Boomer: I started out rough in life and my genetics were bad right out of the chute. So as you might well surmise, part 103 is my only shot at still flying. Sadly part 103 is were sold out by Dan Johnson in the FAA revamp in favor of all the LSA manufacturers, leaving us part 103 years out in F5 wins with three different twisters bearing down upon us post haste! My goal aircraft wise, is to secure used parts and pieces of anything from a Legal Eagle to a Cri-Cri, or maybe even a Hummelbird it has lost its shine but might still be airworthy. But that's down the road for now: I'm just trying to get my house in the oil patch clean enough to put up to the international market, so I can then move to either Idaho or Maine, apparently my heart and lungs would do so much better closer to sea level, is supposed to living in the Midlands of Central Wyoming at 4700 ft. I subscribed to your channel, I recommend your channel, and I like your channel, I just really like titles to match content. Now, how do you show us a storage, or perhaps one of those Australian homemade birds with twin booms, I think it was the Bat something or other, my comment would have been cheering you on!!! I like useful, reliable, and strange, all in one package: which explains my penchant for redheads most of my life. And at any rate, I'll keep watching and I'll keep recommending, and yes I'll keep complaining if the title doesn't match the content. Yes, I am an a******, but I'm good at it. Cheers from the Oil Patch in Central Wyoming

So what is so bizarre?
@chippyjohn110 күн бұрын
They still use pushrod engines.
@adamr921510 күн бұрын
@@chippyjohn1It’s a very proven method. OHC isn’t needed for low rpm aircraft engines.
@chippyjohn110 күн бұрын
@adamr9215 That's like saying you don't need a plane when you have a hot air balloon. The balloon works fine.
@adamr921510 күн бұрын
@@chippyjohn1 Again, you are just showing that you have no idea what you are talking about. Think of it this way, it’s not cheap or easy to get an engine certified to aircraft use. And it’s 100 times more expensive when it’s “new” technology that isn’t common in that field. Then consider that testing for the timing chains or belts is going to keep the engine from being certified for at least a decade, and you are going to have to give probably 20 engines for testing. By the time it’s all said and done, you are going to have to sell engines for twice what others do just to try to recoup the losses. DeltaHawk engines just finished going through this, getting certified in 2024. They had been in testing with the FAA since the 90’s. It was supposed to be half the cost of other similar sized aircraft engines, but after getting certified, it’s twice as much, and took almost 30 years. The other thing to consider is reliability and weight. Weight is important on an aircraft, and complexity is never welcome. OHC is heavier and more complex with more points of failure, so it’s only a downside and no one would be interested in it. Pilots don’t want the newest engine on the market, we want one with a record of reliability.
@chippyjohn110 күн бұрын
@adamr9215 face palm. You yanks are stuck in your bubble. That is the reason the US is in decline. The Deltahawk has had a lot of issues and will not be successful as its a poor design. Simple is rarely better. Just because it has been certified does not mean it will be successful or reliable. The FAA is not a reliable organisation. You are confusing truth with what makes you feel good.
