Yes. Well, do you have a husband? Well, when he arrives of a heavy day of work, that's whats they are talking about. I do not like to hug or be close to my husband before he takes a shower, but it is not bad at all to have his smell arround the house. I think their smell modifies our natural hormonic rates. Well, they say the same about female's smell. 12 hours without taking a shower and changing my underwear make me feel uncounfortable. But, guess what? Men like it. In Japan there are machines which smell used female underwear for men to buy and smell. Hormones are more important than we think.

@@Esperandoonoivo Weird. I lived with a guy for 9 years and I always had to nag him to put some sort of deodorant on. Nothing ridiculously potent, but something so he wouldn't stink. I've lived with my mom's husband and, my GOD, did he reek when he worked on the backyard and gardens. And the stench would transfer onto everything he touched. I like the fresh, clean smell that comes right after a good shower. That's why some people enjoy sex in the shower, and clean their sheets, so you don't have to roll around in each others filth.

@@cinzabeary5226 well, I do not like to hug him or have sex in the situation I mettioned. What I Just asked myself (and KZbin viewers who read these comments) is that the research makes sense to me. I think the answer is hormones. Do I preffer my beloved one after a shower and a nice, fresh, tropical perfum? Yes, I do. But the natural smell is not bad for me at all. Another (non sexual) example: baby smell. Babies smell a Mix of baby powder and old milk (the old milk part, is not so good at all), but is nice to smell them. Gosh. So many ppl saying they don’t need a deoderant. That they don’t stink, it is just their personal smell. I find it very hard to believe that you don’t stink if you sweat. Maybe if you showered in the morning and stayed still the rest of the day in a cool room in thin clothes. Otherwise, yes you do sweat and smell, you just don’t feel it yourself anymore. It is like if you use the same perfume each day for a long time, you feel the scent less and less and might put on extra thinking it have become weaker. But to others especially strangers the scent, stench, is strong. Blame companies and advertisement all you want but ppl stank before, they just didn’t know there was a alternative yet or felt like it would less manly etc to use it.
@SchlichteToven5 жыл бұрын
Probably most people saying they don't stink actually do, but I have known a couple weirdos who actually didn't need to wear antiperspirant because they never stank. I think it was mostly because they would almost never sweat, even with hot weather and exercise. It was definitely a genetic thing, because it ran in their family (to not sweat, not stink).
@anemari58095 жыл бұрын
Your earwax can tell alot about your sweat. Some people produce wet earwax, while others stay dry. The white, flaky (dry) type probably means that you also lack a certain chemical in your sweat that leads to body odor. Dark and sticky (wet) earwax, however, means you'll want to keep deodorant handy

A religion that doesn't allow blood transfusions will instead take high doses chlorophyll to promote blood volume. It adds oxygen into the blood cells which has many benefits, it's rich with naturally occurring copper which is great for healthy kidneys and liver (when taken with zinc). It has naturally ocurring magnesium which has a long list of benefits. It can improve blood pressure, energy, even athletes take it for faster recovery. In my teenage years I used to sweat a lot, got rid of using deodorant when I was 19 because that’s when I met my BF who actually weirdly and grossly enough-loves the smell of my BO. I now only wear it when I know I’ll be sweating that day. Which is like once or twice a week. Used to hate wearing it anyways.

The peculiar thing about modern deodorants is that they are so perfumed they can actually be stinkier than regular body stank. Seriously, you'd think that the purpose of *DE*odorant would be to not smell at all, instead of smelling like the floral room at an overly enthusiastic funeral parlor.

So I have rarely worn deodorant my whole life, I am 35. Usually I will wear it only when I know I will do like a job interview or something where I will sweat a lot or be nervous. Most people I talk to seem to think it is a vital thing, but I don't even notice a strong distinct smell from my armpits other than the slight scent of myself. I thought maybe I was just used to it and asked others if they have ever smelled anything bad from me and no one has. Even my husband has never said anything. I think because I don't continuously block my armpits with aluminum they function normally. I don't think we are actually meant to wear deodorant daily. However I do shower daily and shave/wash my armpits. That's usually all I need.

Other darker cultures have been using deodorant and fragrances since the beginning of time. Especially those in warmer climates like Africa. I got into a debate with a lot of white guys who believe in only taking 5-10 minutes showers. Their culture comes from colder climates where showering everyday would might not be necessary. Which is why a lot have a hard time transitioning into warmer temperature hygiene rules.

Not everyone need deodorants because some people just don't have body odour. I shower every single day and scrub my underarms squeaky clean and I never smell. I still keep one in my bathroom though and maybe use it once a month. I think body odour has a lot to do with a person's diet!!

I never use deodorant. my sweat has a clean, salty, and almost sweet smell, but not odious. After a couple of days of not showering is when it becomes stinky, or if I'm on my period, or really stressed out. I also don't shave my pits. I would like to see more people trying out zero-waste, handmade, natural deodorants. they're available on etsy and in-stores, or you can DIY them!

that's probably why people sweat so much because their pores are trying to remove the toxins from the deodorant. But so beneficial in going natural! We can do the same with pure coconut oil (antibacterial) and baking soda (neutralises smels) and add in oils like frackinscence things like that... I always look at the book Renegade Beauty by Nadine Artemis.

Advertising has made us body scent snobs! Shaming women and working class men was straight up classicism on part of the ad agencies. We are land mammals, and there is nothing "dirty" about our naturally occurring pheromones. There is plenty wrong with the chemicals and artificial fragrances we use to hide the crazy shame we have with a little sweat.

If you ever took a crowded bus in middle of the summer you would totally change your mind about deodorants when you are on the point to vomit from the smell some people carry. If you smell bad first of all you should be disgusted about yourself.
@bodyofhope6 жыл бұрын
@@sayurivkg I sure have growing up in NYC. No, I am not ashamed by a little body odor now and then. I feel sorry for you if you're disgusted by yourself. Love yourself, take care of yourself, own your body, and be kind and compassionate to others. Some people have medical conditions that cause BO, they can't help that and shouldn't be ashamed of it.

@@bodyofhope Tbh I don't care, nobody is bound to suffer from your smell. There's plenty of safe deodorants to use. I just don't get why anybody would willingly want to smell of sweat and have their clothes dirty easily when they could just spray themselves or take a shower.
@bodyofhope6 жыл бұрын
@@tanithalakai4538 Yes, of course. For the ppl who can tolerate the chemicals, fragrances in deodorant and antiperspirant. People who don't mind getting cancer for the sake of smelling better, they should go right ahead. But for the ppl who have severe allergies, chronic illnesses that make them sick over damn near everything that touches their skin, and people who have breast cancer and lymph cancer in their family, it's straight up not even worth it. You weigh the risk vs reward and realize you'd rather live a longer healthier life without it if you can't find one that's safe. Edit: yes there are safe deodorants out there, but have you found ones that work bc I have not. They give me rashes, hives or just don't work.
