Yes. Well, do you have a husband? Well, when he arrives of a heavy day of work, that's whats they are talking about. I do not like to hug or be close to my husband before he takes a shower, but it is not bad at all to have his smell arround the house. I think their smell modifies our natural hormonic rates. Well, they say the same about female's smell. 12 hours without taking a shower and changing my underwear make me feel uncounfortable. But, guess what? Men like it. In Japan there are machines which smell used female underwear for men to buy and smell. Hormones are more important than we think.

@@Esperandoonoivo Weird. I lived with a guy for 9 years and I always had to nag him to put some sort of deodorant on. Nothing ridiculously potent, but something so he wouldn't stink. I've lived with my mom's husband and, my GOD, did he reek when he worked on the backyard and gardens. And the stench would transfer onto everything he touched. I like the fresh, clean smell that comes right after a good shower. That's why some people enjoy sex in the shower, and clean their sheets, so you don't have to roll around in each others filth.
@Esperandoonoivo
@Esperandoonoivo 5 жыл бұрын
@@cinzabeary5226 well, I do not like to hug him or have sex in the situation I mettioned. What I Just asked myself (and KZbin viewers who read these comments) is that the research makes sense to me. I think the answer is hormones. Do I preffer my beloved one after a shower and a nice, fresh, tropical perfum? Yes, I do. But the natural smell is not bad for me at all. Another (non sexual) example: baby smell. Babies smell a Mix of baby powder and old milk (the old milk part, is not so good at all), but is nice to smell them. I understand what you say and even agree with you, but I think there os another side of that point of view that makes very much sense to me. Anyways, sorry for my English and thanks for contribute nicely with your life experiência.

I’ve been using Lume. I find that I don’t sweat as much. The trick with Lume is that you have to detox your clothes, ones you’ve worn before, with an enzyme detergent first. Otherwise, old smells that were trapped in the fabric get reactivated if you don’t.

Gosh. So many ppl saying they don’t need a deoderant. That they don’t stink, it is just their personal smell. I find it very hard to believe that you don’t stink if you sweat. Maybe if you showered in the morning and stayed still the rest of the day in a cool room in thin clothes. Otherwise, yes you do sweat and smell, you just don’t feel it yourself anymore. It is like if you use the same perfume each day for a long time, you feel the scent less and less and might put on extra thinking it have become weaker. But to others especially strangers the scent, stench, is strong. Blame companies and advertisement all you want but ppl stank before, they just didn’t know there was a alternative yet or felt like it would less manly etc to use it.
@SchlichteToven
@SchlichteToven 5 жыл бұрын
Probably most people saying they don't stink actually do, but I have known a couple weirdos who actually didn't need to wear antiperspirant because they never stank. I think it was mostly because they would almost never sweat, even with hot weather and exercise. It was definitely a genetic thing, because it ran in their family (to not sweat, not stink).

Your earwax can tell alot about your sweat. Some people produce wet earwax, while others stay dry. The white, flaky (dry) type probably means that you also lack a certain chemical in your sweat that leads to body odor. Dark and sticky (wet) earwax, however, means you'll want to keep deodorant handy

Meredith De Paulo that’s fair enough but a lot of people have sensitive skin under there and deodorant really irritates it. As long as you wash under there at least once a day it’s not needed. Unless you’re an excessive sweater but in that case I think people should visit their GP.

People today become more and more sensible to odor. Body odor had been normal since the beginning, especially until the 70', a little swear odor was normal since everyone was supposed to work, we all had the same. Now it's all perfume and thinking we're dirty because we have a little odor after the shower which is totally normal. We're more and more superficial. When I go to rural area after one or 2 days you don't even smell these odor anymore it become normal. But hey, deodorant make money :) even with natural deodorant you'll get that odor, it shows how dangerous modern deodorant are.

Normal? Yes. Nice to smell? No. Better smell like flowers than smell like 'body odor'. Where I live, people have very good higienic habits. It is considered normal to taken 2 or 3 showers a day in summer. Some people don't do that. Resoult: crowed bus, hours in traffic jam and you being forced to smell the real proof of other's people lazyness of taking a shower. Extremally human odor leads our brains to sickness and not health people. Be near those poor people who live on streets. You will see how bad human natural odor can make you feel.

That's what I'm trying to say, chemical product made us sensible to things we couldn't even smell before.

@Autumn Goldsmith well, there must be a point of balance in this world of baths. Perfums I understand are not for health reasons, but baths yes. Chinese, for example, used incenses do disguise the smell of sick people in a room (sick people have bad smell). Well, we do not take too much cold, but we take a lot of showers and use a lot of perfum. I apologize for my English and wish you a nice Friday and excelent weekend.

So I have rarely worn deodorant my whole life, I am 35. Usually I will wear it only when I know I will do like a job interview or something where I will sweat a lot or be nervous. Most people I talk to seem to think it is a vital thing, but I don't even notice a strong distinct smell from my armpits other than the slight scent of myself. I thought maybe I was just used to it and asked others if they have ever smelled anything bad from me and no one has. Even my husband has never said anything. I think because I don't continuously block my armpits with aluminum they function normally. I don't think we are actually meant to wear deodorant daily. However I do shower daily and shave/wash my armpits. That's usually all I need.

Scientists have found that amazingly, it's not too different from human plasma. When humans ingest chlorophyll, our red blood cells multiply! A religion that doesn't allow blood transfusions will instead take high doses chlorophyll to promote blood volume. It adds oxygen into the blood cells which has many benefits, it's rich with naturally occurring copper which is great for healthy kidneys and liver (when taken with zinc). It has naturally ocurring magnesium which has a long list of benefits. It can improve blood pressure, energy, even athletes take it for faster recovery. Other darker cultures have been using deodorant and fragrances since the beginning of time. Especially those in warmer climates like Africa. I got into a debate with a lot of white guys who believe in only taking 5-10 minutes showers. Their culture comes from colder climates where showering everyday would might not be necessary. Which is why a lot have a hard time transitioning into warmer temperature hygiene rules.

that's probably why people sweat so much because their pores are trying to remove the toxins from the deodorant. But so beneficial in going natural!
