If you were paying attention, they were using styles that were considered “new” or that had fallen into fashion and then trickled down to the masses. These styles are not intended to represent what you would wear, they talked of celebrities, movies, fashion ads, not every day wear. I highly doubt women in the 40s and 50s wore false eyelashes every day. Just like Pat McGrath and her runway makeup. That isn’t something your average person would wear.

With Miss Pat McGrath's she was the only person who used it, not anybody else which makes no sense that 2010 is that runway falsies that not even another brand made their models wear. If they used the lower eye lash falsies, it would be acceptably accurate.

I don’t think they should have used that for the 2010s. Just because a model wore it down a runway at one point or some popular makeup artist used it in a look doesn’t mean that it was popular in the 2010s. I think a more appropriate idea would be those fairly new magnetic lashes that uses the eyeliner to magnet to instead of lash glue. I know it’s not the most popular thing and many people still use lash glue, but at least it’s better than those lashes they used.
