Take a look back at the last hundred years of women's shoes. From the peep toe cutouts of the 1930s and the kitten heels of the 1960s to the disco diva platforms of the 1970s and the comfy and warm Ugg boots of the early 2000s, here is how women's shoes have transformed over the last century.

Those hideous wedge running shoes (2010s) were popular for about five minutes. There's got to be a better option for the 2010s. What would you say, viewers? Maybe just high-end trainers in general, without the heel/wedge?
@edsrules1
@edsrules1 4 жыл бұрын
AM B it’s the same for every decade. The shoes they pick aren’t necessary what everyone wore, just something that became a fad somewhere during those ten years. For example, most people weren’t wearing flip flops in the fifties. That’s just when they started becoming popular. They use photos as examples, but that’s just one photo of what people wore. Today people wear a wide range of things. It was the same then, too. These videos are fun to watch, but they only show a bit of history.

I also doubt that well nutritioned legs were common around 1910, 1920. They would have fitted better with the 50s, 60s. The platforms of the 1970's were inspired by the platforms of the 1940's, which you barely mentioned. The platforms that came out of wartime rationing in Paris during the 1940's were completely revolutionary to shoe design and were of major historical importance to the decade! Without the 1940's, you'd never have had the inspiration for the platforms of the 1970's. It feels as though you put about 5 minutes of research into each decade.

@@H6TE That person said the shoes shown for 2010 are the ugliest shoes and they're actually very cutesy feminine style shoes, then she says she prefers they used Van's, converse all stars,etc...Van's are a boy shoe design/brand or I guess could be unisex since girls wear them, and converse including all stars were orginally used for sports by boys specifically to play basketball so which led to my assumption.....
