Can you explain the science behind better pin action with a heavier ball even when the lighter ball is thrown faster? And, is there a rule about a ball being dead once it hits the gutter (wondering if the jump-out spare was valid or not)?

LOL at Madisons face when asked her favorite pro. We used to bowl pot games after league a lot and we would bowl with 6 pound balls. Was interesting for sure. Wicked crazy the tough splits they made with the light ball. Unreal stuff

Amazing how many wild spares they made. The key to their success is their consistency and not trying to overthrow that feather weight ball. That was fun to watch.

We used to bowl pot games with 6 lb house balls after the late shift league in the late 90s early 2000s. What a trip, guys hitting the pocket and leaving a ten pin where the ball goes into the gutte rafter hitting the pocket!

10:04 - Do you count that, when the pins bounce the ball into the channel (or anywhere else) and it pops back out? Here, the ball goes into the channel and pops out to get the 10-pin. My gut says it should count, but it did go in the channel...
@ripvanrevs2 жыл бұрын
At 11:38 the 3 pin bounces off the 5 pin and hits the 9 and 10. The ball bounces off the wall and hits the 10 which knocks the 3 pin into the 6 pin which falls over into the 4 pin for a strike!!!
@Krranski2 жыл бұрын
@@ripvanrevs I missed that one. What do you think, is it a legal hit if the ball comes out of the channel _after_ contacting the pins? I honestly don't know.

I feel like I'd be simultaneously at an advantage _and_ a disadvantage against most of the guys in that tournament. I'd be throwing it the same way I normally do (fingertip, no thumb) but I'd be throwing a very light ball at around 12-13 MPH at the pins. The deflection from that low ball weight would almost certainly offset my comfort level with the throw itself.

Hey Packy how are you doing. Anyway I've really said enough about bowling over the last several years really. And I don't really need to dsay anymore even though I've had my share of problems over the years, and I've had a-lot of experience for that matter. but anyway all that I want to say is if you have the money just try as hard as you can to throw the best ball that you can, and there maybe people counting on you on your team so try and do your best always, But however always have fun in what your doing, and when your bowling. You know you have it better than I do because I can't even bowl anymore because of my amputation to my half-foot unfortunately. Don't be to serious when your bowling even when your competing in a pro-game if you can help it, but do your best. And I would say always remember that there are no Serious bowlers in reality, and that reason why I say that is because no matter how good you are your never going to get a perfect game most of the time, but you may get some strikes; but your not promised that you'll get a perfect game. And not only that all bowlers have missed-it a-lot --- all have bit the dust, and few get perfect games, and so it's not important to worry about strikes. I am concerned only what kind of Ball I throw, and if it's good or not; but not concerned whether it is a strike or not because it's uncertain that it will be, although the shot may be good nevertheless. Don' look for strikes, no look for a good ball thrown no matter how the lane condition is since there are no serious bowlers. Hope that helps you.
