I stayed at Hilton Kuala Lumpur and got an executive suite upgrade. It was $450 value but paid $200. Breakfast buffet was free and there's always food and alcohol at the executive lounge so I ate lunch and dinner there lol

The one you ate at 3:26 isnt noodles, but a type of local pancake known as Roti Jala (Fishnet Pancake). Usually eaten with Chicken Curry as savoury or as dessert, with sweet gravy like durian, coconut milk and coconut sugar (Gula Melaka).

I am about 8 months sober now but a few years ago when I was starting to struggle with drinking and going on binges, ending up sick for a week or longer, I found Best Ever Food Review Show. I would lay in bed, feeling as if death was near, and watch Sonny. I watched every video he had eventually and caught up to the new episodes that were coming out. I'm talking nonstop watching his videos! None were boring even when I felt so awful and really helped keep me distracted from how bad I felt. Sonny is a great entertainer, he has seemed to stay humble even with finding more and more success. I try to watch every video they put out. The team does a great job with all aspects of the show and it is quite professional looking! Sonny and team, thank you for being there for me through the worst time in my life! I visit Msia/KL all the time with the kids. The expensive food in Msia is very disappointing. Expensive food is missing L.O.V.E as the most important ingredient. The most expensive bill we ever had was 1200RM (we don’t drink alcohol as a Muslim) it was only food and cola 😂 And last time we visit a very fancy restaurant omg the food had done a Whitening treatment 😂 Don’t get me wrong we are Dutch from the Netherlands, but sometimes they try being too western and it fails. For me No more very fancy restaurants in kL😂 Malaysia is a food heaven. But don’t go to the very high class places, it’s not worth the money.

Food is getting pricier in Malaysia definitely. Just last night I was out dining with 3 other friends in Mont Kiara and the bill came out to RM1300 flat. Simple Korean dinner, not high-end, not buffet. And it's quite common to see 4 digits on meal receipt nowadays compared to 10 years ago.

$1000 meals can attract a lot of rich tourists and business people. But you can also easily spend $10 for 3 meals here. Similar countries that have very strong food culture like Thailand or Indonesia for example will have a very wide range to choose from

@@pentecost_bruh, you're not looking at the right places. there's a korean barbecue-ish restaurant in the curve damansara, and my family of 4 would always order the meat for barbecue and some other dishes like cold buckwheat noodles or whatever, and we only paid rm600-rm700 for it, and it's also an authentic korean restaurant with an actual korean chef. another place is tono izakaya at publika. it's an authentic japanese restaurant that serves mostly seafood and meat dishes, no ramen or any noodle dishes, and it's also an expensive-ish fine dining-ish restaurant. my family and i went there the other day and we only spent rm600-rm700 there as well. so yeah, you just gotta be smart on where to eat.

I would highly suggest u go to Penang Sonny. Its like the capital of street food in Malaysia. U can have Ali nasi lemak (a michelin guide nasi lemak) and gemas roti canai as a breakfast, nasi kandar (deen maju, rafee pulau tikus), pata mee sotong as lunch, laksa janggus (laksa and pisang goreng) as evening food and pasembur as dinner

Sonny in terms of champagne, personally there are far better options than Moet. To me, its a bit too dry and funky tasting. My go to bottle of fizz would be Nicolas Feuillatte Rose, which can be difficult to find, so an alternative is Bollinger Rose. The first is about half the price of the second option. Both very drinkable, very tasty and I haven't heard anyone yet complain when I've introduced them to either of these.

hello from Malaysia. St Regis is the only place we'll never go as we can't afford it. you should try those road-side Nasi Lemak or Ayam Goreng Kunyit which is about USD 0.60 . those are where the gems are.

Oh yuck, not for me! As someone growing up and swimming in the ocean and swallowing god knows how many mouthfuls of ocean water, smelling the fish and dried fish guts from the fisherman on the pier. I can't do it. Luckily, it saves me from having an expensive caviar habit though@@krismeaney2841
