On your mini do you manually select between your thumb and tilt coupler? It appears they come from a single set of supply lines and there is some sort of diverter. I currently have a thumb and am interested in added a tilt coupler but wasn’t sure how I would do it with a single set of aux lines.

When I was a young Firefighter we had a structure fire down a driveway like that we ended up pumping out of a pond plus relay pumping to the fire. 1200 feet of 5inch LDH layed down flowing 2000 gallons a minute for a barn fire. It wasn't actually a barn this found out later it was a storage building for a pools and spa contractors. A unregistered business with 2000 lbs of chlorine. We stopped pumping out of the pond when we found this out. 26 firefighters when to the Hospital for chlorine gas exposure.

Tapon Espantapajaritos Well, its a question that can only be answered by a Realtor, its like me asking you how much for 747 landing gear. I have no idea, it depends on who is selling it. That land could be $150k or 20k if its not buildable, it could be $500k if its in an expensive area. It could be $1.2mm if its got a lake on it. Its not that our answer is unhelpful, its that you are asking the wrong people. If you want to price out land, you need to talk to someone thats actually selling land.

Just curious, do property owners own the land up to the edge of the road or does the county own x amount of the ditch?
@thefrub
@thefrub 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on what kind of road you're facing. A freeway owns like 100 feet of land, a highway/state route (like this one) can own about 20 feet, a residential can own around 10. The drainage is owned by the county and maintained by the state DOT

Don Braden That will be up to your contractor, it all depends on how they work. (And what your soil type is.) Depending in your state laws, you are opening yourself or construction company to lawsuits if that's a public road. You don't have traffic control setup. Yes even if you are working on nonpaved areas inside a public row you need traffic control. Also missing reflectorized delineators to warn public of ditch. If no warning someone could drive off road to fix flat tire or other issue and drive into the ditch. This potential could scare them and over correct flipping their vehicle. Also missing storm water pollution prevention devices. Private roads usually don't have pavement marketing.

Chris a question for you sir. I live in Oklahoma in an older neighborhood, I have a bar ditch in front of my house. What I would like to do is have the ditch excavated and a concrete or corrugated pipe put in for the drainage. The ditch is about sixty feet in length with concrete pipes on either end that go under the driveways. The concrete pipes are about 12" diameter. This will make my front yard much usable and easier to mow. What I am wondering is what you think a little project like that should cost?

When I lived in South then North Carolina, used to hear accidents where someone ran off the road turned over and killed themselves. The amount of roads with no shoulder and shear drop offs is downright stupid. I guess when you live cloistered without any outside input you tend to just do things from rote. That ditch with or without rip rap will kill someone in due course.

I take it from your comment, that you don't like what's happening ? lol. Also, won't a tree do the same thing ?

august, no a tree would never kill anyone. They just stand around until Chris knocks them down. 😆

He never mentioned trees. He was talking about just ditches with drop offs. The problem is drunk driving and phone usage. So steep ditches or trees make no matter. If drivers would just pay attention while driving and call an Uber when drunk and put the damn phone down. Problem solved
