Chris I would like to thank-you for these last 2 videos as they were both 40min long, I know how much time this takes to edit & make presentable as I do this for my own videos that I take then edit. I'm sure that there is subs you have appreciate the work you put in and the time it take for this on top of your day job and the farm for their pleasure have been watching you for quite a few years now and seen you grow and the quality with it, great job on this site looks good and will be better once the grass grows cheers NZ.

If I ever needed to show anyone why I watch this channel, I would show the 06:00 - 10:00 minute time of this video. Smoothing the pond slope that fast and accurately with the bucket and arm compound movements really shows that we are watching an skilled operator. It is the 10,000 hour to become an expert rule in action.

I'm just wondering you dig out the mud of meny ponds aren't there at least some ponds that have stone spread throughout it, like the kind of stone used on railway foundations or maybe concrete lined fish and swimming ponds I have rarely seen any pond with deep enough mud to loose a excavator into Like 5 inches of mud and sand below maybe but never 8ft of mud where is all that sediment from?

A hard, over-inflated rock truck tire WILL, fall into a rut. Now yes, you can just pedal to the metal and hope it makes it through, but wait until the day to flop the box over, or worse, the box stays up and the cab flops instead. You’ll be a little more “granny” on it then. A good operator knows, slow is smooth, smooth is fast.

Daniel K - Timmy should be leaving his cell phone in the pickup. My guys on the ranch knew how that worked. I see you texting on company time and you didn’t get a second warning. I see you texting and driving (anything) and you didn’t get one warning. It was in all of their contracts. My end of the bargain was a really expensive repeater tower?? I’m not sure, but it was about $95,000 for my portion of the cost amongst a few ranches and a deal with a cell provider. All the ranch house had high speed internet for the kids for school first, then entertainment. I had just a few rules and 5 long term fellas that respected those rules. I rewarded them with really nice homes, very nice living conditions for their families, new equipment (you would think I bought a new tractor for THEM and not me! Ok the Ranch.). I paid the long term fellas really well too. Enough the other ranchers would complain when the fellas talked amongst the ranches. Haha. Each year the 6th position would never stay full for long. It got harder and harder to get someone that could leave their damn phones alone. We got more done with those 5 guys and busted up old me than most ranches with 7 or 8 guys. I miss that crew now that I retired. Still see most on the weekends. They know there is always a meal, or beverage handy. If there are too many beverages, then the whole family/families have a place to stay in the house and RV. I didn’t have any major injuries on the ranch in over 35 years either! I hope I did well for the fellas and the families. The new owner is well liked by them already too! Lucky for them! Sorry, rambling. I hate cell phones at work. I also have two people that are no longer in my life due to 2 separate accidents where a distracted driver ran into their vehicles on 2 lane highways! One of the distracted drivers lived, but is spending some time in prison as a result. 3rd time he had a similar accident, no licence or insurance for the last accident. They locked him up!

@GT500 I get what you are saying but it’s a good thing for a worker to have a phone on them.. I know from last summer working on a road job if I didn’t have my cell on me I wouldn’t of knew my dad was passing away.i got a phone call from my sister barely had service but I’m glad I had it on me (I never went on my phone to send texts or anything either.. @shitloveaduck
@shitloveaduck 4 жыл бұрын
Scammer Peppar - I understand what you are saying, but it was still a convenience. What was done when Cell phones didn’t exist? I do believe you are someone who is responsible with your phone, but you are rare. Once the temptation is there, that is when the problem begins. I didn’t say the guys didn’t have their phones, they left them in their trucks. They have lunch and coffee breaks to catch up on their phones. When the foreman’s wife was pregnant, he kept his phone on him at all times. He had a special ring for her and avoided all other rings. He was the most responsible guy I ever hired as well, he basically ran the ranch. I had a second full time job in law enforcement as well. I worked 4 days on and had 4 off as my rotation. Often I would see them checking their phones as another fell was driving. So long as the fella driving wasn’t on his phone, I didn’t care about that. It was once they were outside the trucks that it mattered, or if they made someone wait while they finished a call or text, then it was an issue. There is a clause in the labour code called theft of time. That is what that falls under. I had one guy tell me it was his right to have the phone on him all the time. I gave him the chance to prove it and I would give him his job back and would pay back pay. I also gave him the name of my lawyer and offered to pay all costs regardless of win or lose. It cost me some legal fees but he never worked for me again. It isn’t a right. I’m not the unreasonable one expecting all the rest of my crew are safe from someone else’s indiscretions. I’m not the unreasonable one expecting my guys to work when they are on the clock. They were not wearing headsets listening to tunes either. If you are aware at all times, you can help each other if something sudden happens. We were in the Rockies working with cattle that are very unpredictable, the horses much less so, but they could act up. We also had rattle snakes, grizzlies and black bears.mountain lions. They were working in serious wilderness. We had times where each guy had a shotgun slung over their backs because we had a couple of aggressive bears. Wildlife trapped them and removed them. There are so many reasons for the fellas to just leave their electronics in their vehicles. They were almost always within 100 metres or less from their trucks. If they were out on horseback, they had their phones in their packs, not their pockets or hands. It is possible to be realistic and safe. The city people have forgotten that in many cases. In the law enforcement job I was on the possession of your cell phone on duty was prohibited. There were phones issued by the employer and even then people were dumb enough to text personally on them. The phones were monitored remotely and these people paid for their stupidity with unpaid time off and chronic fools lost their jobs. It is a detailed subject, I know, and I really don’t need to deal with it as I’m retired and sold the ranch. The only thing I have to worry about now is other drivers out there.

I ran across a circuit board something like that once, it turned out someone had spilled coca cola on it, and it was interfering with electrical contact in different ways at different temperatures, pulling the foil off of the board to break contact or something. One little tiny spot in the harness, and they'll probably want to not fix it, just replace the whole thing. For the money.

Just subscribed and would ask if the videos could be numbered for each project. It's is very hard to get them in the right order. Thank you for the excellent camera work.

Do you use the same geo fabric under the rock for erosion prevention as you do for driveways?

11:20 It's crazy that you need a 6-axle just to meet DOT requirements. You know something went wrong with the law when they thought it would solve the issue by sticking extra axles on the truck that are barely of any use. You won't see this anywhere else in the world.
