My hats off to you guys! That is one kick butt smoker. Boston butt that is!! You guys did a excellent job. I admire your accomplishments. Not easy fabricating a 100 gallon smoker, much less a 1000 gallon one. Happy BBQing

Well done indeed!!! I love what y’all did and the detailed videos that were made on what it took to make such a beast!! I would like to throw out a few suggestions, 1) if you put a damp cloth or not damp under your cutting board it helps it stay in place. 2) I saw another pit master do this but he used a pump up sprayer to spray the meat which looks like a huge time saver and easier method to keep things moist. 3) you can if you choose to weld on nuts to the outside of your tank that the thermometers can screw into, making it easier to remove and install Other than that y’all did awesome work, looking forward to future videos, thanks!!

Oh yeah and door stops, to keep the doors from opening all the way back, making it easier to shut without having to move that heavy beast through such a full range of motion!! Keep up the great work

We appreciate it! I put a cloth under the cutting board for our most recent cook...game changer. And yeah we need to do something about those doors, we're getting tired of having to hold them up the whole time!

Great job guys. Perhaps you could put a permanent damper on top of your stack that you can control from ground level. Like a plate on top controlled with a rod.

Guys, this was great. I’m in Richmond VA and was excited to see you go through the steps and document what you did. I had recently purchased a old 20’ RV trailer that needs bracing help like yours did along with a couple other things. You have given me a lot to work from and a lot to learn from. Guys, I know your barbaque is going to be great and I can’t wait to see where this build will take you and what you do with it. Can’t wait to see more from you 2 in general. Maybe a video letting us know who you are and what your inspiration was/is.8 Do you have an Instagram account? Love to follow your cooks and accomplishments? Are you going to do a video of any upgrades, pros and cons of your build. Do you have anything you wish you did differently? Thank you again for all your documenting and giveing me the inspiration to do what you did!

Thank you! That's great, glad we could be of some help. We have some stuff in the works, we plan on posting videos of what we do with the smoker going forward. And we may be able to do something like that. We're still working on our social medias but they are on the way. We'll definitely document changes and additions we make to the smoker. Probably talk about things we like and don't like, few things we would've done differently (like our draft/ash problem). Thanks for the support, and good luck on your build!

Nice build, get on Amazon and buy Lavalock black food safe BBQ adhesive. You can put it around the seal of the doors to hold more heat in. Happy smoking, guys!

Awesome job on the smoker. Don’t spritz the brisket, it hinders the bark from forming.

great build. you could close the thermometer holes again and drill some new ones with thread in it to fit the thermometers

@@TooMuchBBQLLC regarding fire management you could do something like in this video with a "damper" then it will be easier to manage kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmXInHuhicp4nJY

@TooMuchBBQLLC3 жыл бұрын
Thank you! We're still working on getting social media stuff up and running. Before this we used a few different things, mainly an old Oklahoma Joe offset smoker. Comparison wise I couldn't even tell you. We probably run through about 1/3 of a truckload of wood for a 12 to 13 hour cook. Which is way more than what we're used to.
