I just got a $ 1000 golf lesson just by watching this video... and guess what... I had the same problem as you. Everything was going left... sometimes straight left and sometimes a nasty draw that starts left and goes more left. Just got in front of my launch monitor and kept my left foot down and now everything is going just slightly right... This will take some practice but the is the first time that I've found something that works with the first swing. I've been playing with my grip and opening the club face at setup and nothing worked with the long irons. Thanks Gabby for this insightful video.

My son and I love watching these kinds of videos. It truly shows what golf is all about. It’s not about the beautiful golf clubs, clothes, and great golf courses. It’s what goes on behind the scenes which most people never see. The hours of practice and trying to correct what could be wrong in your game in order to obtain your goals. I’m sure your goal is to become a professional golfer. To have instructors like this man will no doubt improve your game immensely. This is one of my favorite videos. I truly love the technical part of the golf game. The hours of practice and training. Well done Gabriella. 👍

Even if it's not an "immense" improvement, if you are already good (and can afford a coach like this) small changes can make the difference between qualifying and not qualifying, getting a piece of the purse or not, or winning and not winning. It takes a long time to work on this so that it becomes an unconscious habit. Also, teach your boy what happened to Tiger by his drinking and anger so your sone does not go down that road . . .

However, I don't play competitively, so I don't feel the need to purchase a launch monitor. Besides that, I just live a few blocks from a golf course with a great driving range. Thanks for taking us along with a "behind the lesson" video. Great content. One topic you haven't covered but is "key" in the professional golf game today: Rest and Recovery. Current professional golfers (both men and women) are true professional athletes with work outs, diet, training, mental focus.., as part of their lifestyle. The professional golfer from the 1960's looks very different from today's touring pros and that is mainly due to fitness training. At 16 years old, you are likely thinking of what career path to take. College, media influencer, golf pro are all in your decision formula and you seem VERY busy. You will be successful at whatever you choose but the hard decision will be what path you take. Please talk to some professionals you admire and see their rest and recovery program. Just my opinion, but you might be over stressing your body. You seem to be targeting maximum perfection but that also needs downtime to "de-stress" and allow the muscles to recover and rebuild and advance to the next level (as well as mental health) Easy suggestion to start: Take one day off a week and just enjoy being 16!

OMG, he is pointing out exactly the issue most apparent. Fixing this will not be easy. You will have to go backward before you can get back on track. Impressed that you have started the journey with a coach. You are so talented that you have been able to overcome the main problem. I play keeping weight on my right heel to left heel. To do this I stick my butt out more at the address. This forces my weight to my heels to start and complete the swing. I stay off my toes during the downswing.

When young I think we all believe it to add a power source. The quest for distance can cause a bunch of wrong things in a golf swing. As you age, get stronger and have good instruction as Mr Harmon provided you will realize mechanics will provide a much more solid strike. It will take time and effort to make this pattern 2nd nature so keep at it and we’ll see big things from you in the future. LOL!!! Great advice from a hard head with similar issues.
