This was probably the most immediately effective lesson I’ve ever seen. As you demonstrated, it doesn’t matter your skill level, we’re all always learning, and we can always improve. Just having the notion of “pressure” was such an eye-opener for me. He makes it so simple to understand, and easy to see/feel/hear when you’ve done it correctly or not. Great stuff.

Hey Danny how's it going, Keith from the other side of the pond in New Jersey checking in. Wanted to pay you a compliment. At first I thought this video was not a good idea for you since you are a golf professional and a teacher of others and I didn't think that it would be a good look since everybody tries to put their best foot forward when giving KZbin instruction. I could not have been more wrong in my initial assessment. After watching the video I think it was a great collaboration and as mentioned by others a sign of true humility on your part and I believe it in no way diminishes or tarnishes your image, on the contrary it enhances it! I went out in the backyard after watching this video and employed this chipping strategy and I was amazed at the instant results! I hope you do more videos with Pete Cowen and I am now subscribed to your Channel! Keep up the great work and God bless!

Danny!!! This video is incredible! Thank you very much for posting your lesson. I watched it the morning it was released and went to the short game area of my home course for 90 minutes that afternoon. I went again for an hour a couple of days later. This works like a charm! A couple of guys I golf with who are 6 and 9 handicappers told me my short game has improved quite a bit. This was after only 2.5 hours of working on what Mr. Cowen was teaching you. I am a 16 handicap and hope to be a 14 by the end of this season and this will definitely help me achieve that goal. Many thanks my Brother and Cheers!

I got a mate of mine to watch Angel Cabrerra when he chipped years ago and it's in line with what Pete said. He used to do 3 practice swings off the ball... way behind the ball. I put this technique into my game 2 months ago. It has significantly helped my game. Two things made this work for me ... getting the toe under the ball ... and getting "out of the way" without backing up. You can not back up and getting outta the way delivers a great strike. It took me awhile to get it right, but it is worth the effort. Danny struggling a bit is a perfect reminder that golf is a hard game and the magic doesn't happen without work. Thanks Danny

Brilliant! So good to see someone of your skill level acknowledging that you can always learn something to improve your game. This is something we should all acknowledge. I have played this wonderful game for 64 years and, even in my 20s when playing my best golf, I never hesitated to take a lesson when there was a problem I was unable to correct on my own. Also, because I never played winter golf (even though I could have in Scotland where I was born), I always started each season with a lesson to keep me on the right path. Short game sometimes kills my scores and I went out to practice after watching the video (twice) and I am already seeing improvements. If I ever make it back to the UK you can count on seeing me for an in person lesson or two.

he's such a laid back guy but it was obvious you felt the pressure trying to do the drill correctly. It was pleasing to see someone with your ability feeling how an amateur feels when getting a lesson and struggling to implement the change

Hi Danny Thanks for putting this video up. I came to this video from watching some of your other chipping videos. It actually makes lot of sense now watching you with Pete in your lesson with him. Amazingly fantastic teaching video. I've seen Pete give a few lessons to golf pros but this is the best of them. Danny, I've watched countless videos from you - love the simple way you approach the golf swing - but this was like watching the master and newbie. Not in a bad way, but it shows how we all have things to learn and really just shows how unbelievably perceptive Pete is at seeing every part of a golf swing in real time. Loved it and keep up the great work!
