1000 Miglia 2023 - Day 2, San Marino Republic - Alfa 8C 2300, Ferrari 250 MM, Mercedes 300 SL & More

I filmed the 1000 Miglia 2023 during the second day of the race, where the cars left from Cervia-Milano Marittima towards Rome. Among the many places crossed, I chose to wait for them in the spectacular Republic of San Marino. Over 440 crews from 8.00 in the morning began to climb the narrow streets of the historic centre, climbing Mount Titano, surrounded by splendid walls. The entire fortified city dates back to the medieval period, and landlocked San Marino is located in the north-central part of the Italian peninsula, on the border between the Italian regions Emilia-Romagna and Marche. The local population and the many tourists took care of welcoming the vintage cars, who, already from early in the morning, did not fail to show their affection. Beauties such as Alfa-Romeo 8C 2300 MM, Lancia Lambda, B20, B24, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, Bentley, Austin Healey, Porsche 550 Spyder & 356, Ferrari 250 MM, Maserati A6GCS, OSCA and many other jewels paraded. The 1000 Miglia represents the best of the world production of vintage cars with this huge caravan; moreover, the most expensive in the world for value and historical importance. Enjoy! 😉
Ho filmato la 1000 Miglia 2023 durante la seconda giornata di gara, dove le auto sono partite da Cervia-Milano Marittima direzione Roma. Fra i tanti posti attraversati ho scelto di aspettarle nella spettacolare Repubblica di San Marino. Oltre 440 eqquipaggi dalle 8.00 di mattina hanno iniziato a salire le strette strade del centro storico arrampicandosi sul monte Titano, circondate dalle splendide mura. Tutta la città fortificata risale al periodo medievale e San Marino, senza sbocco sul mare è situata nel centro-nord della penisola italiana, al confine tra le regioni italiane Emilia-Romagna e Marche. Ad accogliere le vetture d'epoca ci hanno pensato la popolazione locale ed i tanti turisti che già dalla mattina presto non hanno mancato di far sentire il loro affetto. Hanno sfilato bellezze come Alfa-Romeo 8C 2300 MM, Lancia Lambda, B20, B24, Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing, Bentley, Austin Healey, Porsche 550 Spyder & 356, Ferrari 250 MM, Maserati A6GCS, OSCA e tntissimi altri gioielli. La 1000 Miglia rappresenta il meglio della produzione mondiale di auto d'epoca con questa enorme carovana; oltretutto la più costosa al mondo per valore ed importanza storica. Buona visione! 😉

I am glad that the effort of captioning cars is helpful for you. The historic centre of the Republic of San Marino is worth a visit; as you can see, the medieval village has remained intact. I think we have to look to history to build the future of our cities because, for centuries, houses, streets and buildings were designed to last over time. Now they only build concrete and glass houses that last a few decades, which makes no sense. Anyway, going back to the 1000 Miglia, I'm glad you liked the video 👍

Ciao Yuri, grazie. Avevo proprio in mente un video come questo ed ho cercato di dare il massimo. Bellissime le auto ma spettacolare San Marino e volevo che questo emergesse dal video. Ho seguito la 1000 Miglia anche a Modena ieri, ho tentato di fare qualcosa ma purtroppo sono passate molto velocemente. Qui ho avuto il tempo necessario per comporre le scene e cercare le inquadrature che volevo. Non ti dico la fatica di sottotitolare il video!! 😂

Some spectacular scenery here with narrow streets with paving stones that look like they date back to Roman times. Are they normally open to traffic? A Fiat 500 (original variety) would be about the largest you could get through there.

I remember back in the day when an English cook thought it was a real race so he vacuum packed his underpants and bought an old Italian car and recruited a hot young female racing driver to do the race with him (if you know what I mean) but his racing pants came undone when it turns out it was just a rally and his Italian car broke down.
