Carbureted bikes are great for the fact that the throttle is not snatchy at the bottom in first gear. It's great technology but in the mud it makes things a bit harder to have a fuel injected bike. With any luck soon you'll be able to add wr250r to the list of bikes that you've stacked up against the GPX

@@whitehollywood6447 I've tried the 450f and I owned a 400f I think people assume dirt bike riding is like desert racing. For the most part the trails we can get into locally don't lend themselves to just going flat out. Especially so in Austin single-track scene. A 450 on those Trails is a Vulgar Display of Power. ( hey I'm back in DFW I have to make a Pantera reference at least once)

@@LouisPratt-wh9sy not when I had mine. Older model and bike fell apart over time and couldn’t get parts for my model at the time.I’m glad it was stolen and I got paid back from insurance. I’ll never buy a Chinese bike again. My view of the bike change over time of ownership. If your casual dual sporting there ok but nothing beyond that.

You're in North Texas but close to where? Judging by the aircraft noise it sounds like you're not far from DFW? I'm over in Ellis County. You found some good trails by the river where you are? Anyway, I'm going to be ordering a GPX 250E real soon, to replace my trusty old DRZ-125L. The 125 has been a fantastic single track bike, but it's a tad small and I want something that can be street legal also. As far as the DRZ400, I had a '15 model I bought new, and man you're right, the engine was really great, tons of power, good torque, but it was too heavy and cumbersome. That GPX 250E looks awesome too, can't wait to get one!

Thanks for the reviews on this bike. Much appreciated. This bike is pretty much universally loved. Two things I can't remember you covering, but you probably have... How do you like the seat? Some say it's too hard. Comfort seat is available, so I guess it's easy to improve. And does it have an actual oil filter? Or is it an oil screen like a scooter? Many thanks. All the best. Thanks for creating the content for us. I'm about ready to pull the pin on a GPX. Have you seen the Kayo motorcycles that are now in the states? Alot of dealerships are starting to carry them. I was also looking at them. Kayo has been here for a few years. New to me. The Kayo K4 looks "almost" equivalent to the mighty GPX FSE 250E. Kayo also has a liquid cooled, sohc, fuel injected bike for close to the cost of the GPX. I love the GPX.

I seen and sat on one at a dealership when I was passing through Amarillo tx heading to the Grand Canyon! Not sure which model it was I sat on !! Can’t remember this was last yr right around this time!! Suspension was very plush and soft compared to the gpx the one I sat on!! Never rode one though

Yes I removed a couple washers they have there at the steering stops

I have had to change the jets on the carb! Came with a 40 pilot and a 130 main I now have a 48 pilot and a 135 main with the air fuel mixture screw at about 2 turns out

Trinity river? Yes, there are dead bodies in there… I have really wanted to sit on one of these to see if my “just 5’10”” frame will fit …. I would love to meet you somewhere just to throw a leg over.. I’ve had a knee replacement, so this bike - being a relatively tame 2 stroke with an E-start really speaks to me.. But I gotta be able to get my feet down pretty well. I know they have a lowering link as well……. Holla..

This is the four stroke fse 250 e air cooled motor but the 2 stroke tse is in the same frame there just different motor in each bike but I’m barely 5 10 and can touch!! But you should be learning to ride with your feet on the pegs and focusing on technique instead of worrying about your feet on the ground!! Problem with lowering link is it throws of geometry of bike and it doesn’t handle the same and you want all the clearance under that you can have !! I’m 205 with gear and when sag is set properly you should have no problems!!

Put a 36 or 38 mm Mikuni flat slide carburetor on it, and all your troubles will be gone!

It’s definitely not a motocross bike!! Suspension is soft and bike is on heavy side! Good trail bike though
