I’ve got over 3k miles on my Onyx. It’s held up beautifully. No probs so far, (knock on the wood cover). I’ve really tried my best to take care of her, and it’s paying off. Love that bike. I also agree with your pro/con list. Pretty spot on. 👌🏻 they sure aren’t getting any cheaper tho, yikes!! 😳 Bike is so fun tho. So fun. If you have the means, by all means!! 💙🤙🏻

Can’t wait to see the build! The only thing holding me back from doing the 72V conversion for the Rx is it costs as much as a fully loaded bandit or a CTY2/ base RCR😅. As much as I love the Rx it just needs a little more pick up for riding in nyc traffic

I had problems from day one with the rear brake. I gave up on that cheap thing. Instead I loosened the brake and since the motor braking worked I would use that as the rear braking and it did the job. If I needed strong rear braking I just squeezed the brake much harder to get response from the mechanical but I almost never needed that.

So sorry to read… That Regen is amazing 🤩 almost don’t need brakes when the regen kicks in… I mostly use my front brakes tho… I’m surprised you had a problem… was it shipped that way… their customer service is really good to did you call them for assistance…?

So. I'm seriously looking at the Onyx as the winter season comes in here in North Carolina. Is it a good bike to ride in cold weather? I know how lithium battery perform poorly in colder temperatures, but I still wanna ride when it's cold outside. Is the Onyx a good bike for riding in colder temperatures?

I can’t see it getting to cold in North Carolina as snow is a rarity… if you dress warm you should be ok… last winter I rode in everything except for freezing temperatures or rain…but keep in mind the terrain so you can select the right tires…

Mr E. Quick question. Thinking of get and onyz rcr used for $3600. Person had it for over a year with 1000 miles. Has the 72volt battery grade and it’s pretty clean bike. Is it worth it.

If you said $2600 I’d say that’s a great deal… Are you a gambling man… 1000 miles of wear and tear… I’d feel better spending around $1K more and know it’s brand new.. I believe New was on sale recently for $4600 but I see it up to $4999 Hope he has the bigger battery in it… 41ah… See if he is negotiable… make sure the fork isn’t bent… and trust your gut.. 🙌💯💪

He claim 72volt 41ah and said three modes 50 plus range 40 plus range 75 25 plus at 100 plus range. Comes with 10ah charger and peddles.

Now that you mentioned it, I was curious and it turns out almost even on price, so it comes down to performance and style. The RCR right now is $5692 -- the X-Class is $2400 + 3kw motor kit $800 + 72v 42Ah Molicell from E-street Bikes $2350, total is $5550. I'd be curious to see an RCR go up against a 3kw X-class in the NY tunnel race and see what happens!

@@mr.e_from_nyc my only issue that is stopping me from pulling a trigger on this one in particular is there's rear shocks they have the 1970s 1980s style motorcycle dual shocks instead of the mono shock of today's bikes but then again with all the other options this is like the Clear Choice right now ... I'm tossing around between the Surron X and this bike. Id have to get the K.O MOTOR/CONTROLLER FOR 72 SURRON. AND THEN BATTERY still don't compare.....
