This video has inspired me Soo Much, I Own a 2006 Corvette, I Blew the motor over 1 month Ago, over a bad tune or something mechanically went wrong, I Dynod at 636 Horsepower with only 5 psi with a V3 vortech supercharger & E85 , I Watched this video literally over 60 times, It inspired me so much that I Ordered a 370 Iron block fully built with K1 Rods K1 crank By thomson motors, Arp Studs all around and the big Upgrade to a A&A Ysi Blower, Aeromotive A1000 Fuel system with 1000cc injectors, American racing headers, England Green Boost Cam Mayhem 2, Ported and polished heads, LSX 102 Intake manifold, Stage 5 Twin disk Clutch By Spec. I Have everything already in boxes ready to install, Engine arrives next week and I'm Super excited to see what the numbers will be now. Thank you for inspiring me On my Own Dream Vette. Video will be up Soon.

+1 @5:35, if you look at the graph, near peak torque value at peak horsepower. You don't see that too often.
@JayRussellDuramax2 жыл бұрын
@@EJ257IHI That's actually quite typical for centrifugal superchargers. Check out any of the ProCharger builds on Steve Morris's channel. I think it's because their boost curve isn't linear, so the torque peak reflects that. If they had a linear boost curve, they'd make peak torque at a lower RPM.

The best way to do this is to not start with a Z06. They used a completely different engine, so, you could have this done to a base C6 and have it a LOT cheaper.

With lower compression,proper cam,and twins what would this engine push out approx?2000+ to the wheels?
@FixItStupid8 жыл бұрын
I Noticed The Same Thing The Compression Ratio Is Too High... To Get Enough Oxygen Stuffed Into It..... Some Engineers Just Don't Know How It Works
@leandrodias20508 жыл бұрын
ShifTEE Ali The owner probably wants a streetable car, that's why the compression is that high
@JayRussellDuramax2 жыл бұрын
@@FixItStupid The compression ratio has nothing to do with how much air goes into the cylinders... That's a function of the displacement of the engine. This is a 440 CID engine no matter what its compression ratio is. If you can get the engine to not detonate, higher compression is always better. Lowering the compression ratio allows you to get away with lower octane fuel, but you lose efficiency. If you want to drive the car on pump gas, you'll likely need a lower compression ratio. However, if you're using Ethanol, or another type of high-octane or equivalent fuel, you don't need a lower compression ratio to keep it safe.

z06 1212 from a reliability standpoint, how this car is set up is pretty conservative. Yea it’s a big ass motor but it basically only has 7 psi of boost and a cam from the looks of it. My guess is the owner wanted to keep it reliable but realistically yes that car is more than capable of 1400+ hp.
@3O2MuStAnG7 жыл бұрын
z06 1212 5:35 it was actually 1036rwhp (approx. 1250hp) and that's on a street tune. There are 1000hp 4 bangers and V6 but a big built V8 will always have more power out of the hole (torque) and be more reliable. Obviously you can get more power (there are 3000hp Corvettes) but first of all what's all that power good for on street tires? Also the engine would need a rebuild every few running hours. That's just not worth it.
@speedlife3015 жыл бұрын
Look at the power under the curve on a blown vette on low boost and a 4 banger with a turbo the size of the engine on kill blow my engine up mode 39-48psi and come back.

They are one of the top shops. They don’t do cheap work. It’ll be expensive for a reason, top shelf parts. Builds at the level aren’t for everyone.
