@BitHprod We like the video, (it was fun to make) but we were very unhappy with the club re-mix of the audio track Geffen did. We never authorized it for release and Geffen dropped us from their roster after the single was released. The re- mix added to this video was done by a third party. We had no control over it. essa musica é tão anos 90, e isso é tão prazeroso. saudades dos anos 90, onde ainda se faziam musicas de qualidade. esse som tem cara de manhã de domingo, aquele friozinho. ou voltando de algum lugar para casa, e ouvindo baixinho no carro. tem cara de dia chuvoso e vc dentro de casa, olhando a rua sendo molhada, correr na chuva, estar com a mulher amada acariciando-a, envolvidos por um cobertor, em uma tarde chuvosa. tudo de bom.

I like this version & its presentation - clever!. I also enjoy Roxy Musics take. To me both are brilliant, however each person to their own as it has been said it's 'not who is the better of the two' but availing yourself to listen to how someone else can put the same song together in a different style/genre, yet still be a hit & liked by others & the public at large.

I don't understand the negetive comments about this re mix. I guess some people are hard core about their loyalty and don't like changing a popular song. I found this by accident, listened, and liked it. The sound is still nice as far as re mixes generally go. I admit to never having heard the original version, but I still like this one. She's pretty, has a nice voice, and the video / location is kind of neat. We're all entitled to our opinions. Thumbs up from me.

Buried deep in the comments, but probably worth restating, is that the audio is one of the official remixes by Todd Terry, so obviously intended for a different audience than pure 10KM fans. Listening to the mixes I believe this is the Todd Terry Crossover Mix, which I'm glad is here as its not the easiest mix to track down. Should have been labeled as such though!

Properly referred to as "Tee's Radio Mix" (one of Todd Terry's many pseudonyms was Tee) this was the version that was heavily promoted on radio and music video stations back in 1997 & was also the bands first single with new vocalist Mary Ramsey. If you hadn't notice you're listening/watching this from 10000 Maniacs own VEVO channel. Had the band intended the album version to have been posted they'd have done so. As a long time fan of 10000 Maniacs & Natalie Merchant's solo material I prefer the album version as well, but if you're a fan of the song you'd simply be listening to the Bryan Ferry & Roxy Music song from 1982.

This is the 3rd version I have heard of the 'More Than This' by 10,000 Maniacs? What happened to the original version song by them when they started singing the song? Does a fan have to upload their own copy just to let others see and listen to it? There is probably some type of copyright dispute that has denied fans the pleasure of listening to the 1st version that 10,000 Maniacs sang.
