My 2017 Chevrolet SS here in the stateside is fully being converted to a Holden commodore ss redline. Inside and out. Performance I was gonna do the Kong 2650 and call it a day. But after thinking about it everyone and their moms does supercharger so I am also going this same exact route. Fully built and forged LS3. With a custom turbo kit. Everything Inside around and trans is be upgraded to hold that 1000k to 1300hp I will be making. LS3 are amazing engines LS in general. But the LS3 can make and hold huge power. Hopefully one day you could fly to the state and review my Chevrolet ss that has been fully converted and built to see how us from the USA build our Holdens.

Its a clean car, Perfect set on ride height. Didn't think the HSV's came with foggys on the front ? I've never seen one or maybe i haven't been looking hard enuf on the road... They removed them in the standard Series II which is a bummer for anyone who wants easy front brake ducts :) (the foggys were piss weak neway tho so I understand why they removed them) I don't like the front hood grille vertical bar on the HSV's so I removed it on mine with a little snip =o , they tried to make it VT style at the hood grille so thats always made me go meh. The lower front bumper is nice tho. Full sleeper would've been better (stock VFSS front and rear bars + lights), but can't knock it as I drive mine everyday anyway... :) Also props to the owner who may not have known you that well and giving you the keys.......I'm sure there was all insurance done neway but still......giving your baby away to someone is hard, I don't let anyone drive mine even my mate who races in the 86 cup and drifts for a living.......

@uptheau28753 жыл бұрын
@@cokeaddict1663 mate you obviously know nothing about simple mechanics. The barra is DOHC the rb30 is SOHC which mean lower potential power with SOHC. The RB30 block wall is thinner with less ribbing and more prone to breaking. The Barra is an under square engine which mean max torque and reliability but lower revs, the RB30 if I remember correctly is oversquare so higher revving, but high revs come less reliability, thin block plus oversquare ain’t a good combo. So to settle it, the barra is, by reliability wise the most efficient petrol i6 engine in the world for power/cost ratio. Don’t get me wrong the LS is a good engine. Cheap (for a v8) to get power out of. More aftermarket support. It’s pushrod. And the sound (even though in my opinion it’s the worst sounding v8 due to piston firing order). But, ask anyone who’s owned one what is better for reliable power, not mass dragster power but reliable ‘cheap’ street power (500kw plus). That would be the inline 6 due to its simplicity and mechanical balance or in our case, the barra. I assume your a Holden lad, I’m a ford lad, but you gotta admit, our country produced a damn fine inline 6 engine which is technologically superior to all the outdated low litre jap crap.
