I would suggest getting a guidebook for a part of the world where you want to go (like a Lonely Planet or Rough Guide for Europe, for example) and read about it because you will learn a lot of the practical information that way. But yeah, you've gotta have some money saved up.

It's cool until one day you loose your job and find yourself with no savings living on the street, I have friends who have go through that and it's not cool.

So if you're clever about it and make sure you can stay at friends, or couch surf, or get deals with hotels to make a video about their resort. You'll be able to tackle the biggest expense: accommodation. Next is food, if you can find ways to cook yourself while traveling you'll save a lot of money. Plus street food in many countries is super cheap, like Asia. Then comes travel. Doing your own driving, borrowing a friend's car. Etc. Flights: Get promotional deals with airlines or tourism so they can get their flight ticket payed. Louis hooked up with Discovery etc. So basically it comes down to building a network of people and having good repor with them.

Raya, I'm from Macedonia and I've very much heard of Bulgaria. I go skiing there every winter. I totally feel you about that part tho. Rarely anyone from Europe knows our contries, little alone anyone from America.

I live in UK and I know Bulgaria. I went to uni and met a few Bulgarians there. This is a generalisation but some Americans have no understanding of the world outside of the USA with very poor world geography. Obviously not all of them though.
