I have a bad back and my right leg is now shorter than my left. I miss the fun I had mountain biking in my 20's. I have been looking at possible alternatives that will allow me to enjoy riding without the fear of increasing pain. RUNGU is another company I have been looking into because I enjoy rock hounding. I keep coming back to this back support type E-bike. I do wonder why the pinion gear box isn't used. I also recently learned about this guy who has been developing regen tech for E-Bikes. Can't remember his KZbin channel at the moment. Thanks for creating this type of bike.

A Rohloff with a Schlumph is the way to go.... it gives the gearing needed to not have to "Beat Eggs" at +35 mph when combined with a Grin All Axle on a front wheel will give you speed, distance and Power. (72 volts 50 amps nominal, 90 amps peak) A set of after market wings... and it will FLY!... need added power, a single Grin controller will work with a single motor or a double motor... who does not want to fly down a 2 track at +50 mph.... an added Fairing will increase range and speed.

I really feel like these trikes/quads should be more accomodated, along with pedestrians in our cities, and we should move away from polluting, dangerous, expensive, noisy vehicles. I think this is the future of travel, especially in urban areas. There's a video about "Stroads" by Not Just Bikes that I think everyone should watch that addresses a lot of shortcomings of our society and bike culture.

My son has CP and loves his custom trike that allows him to operate all controls with his right hand. The problem is that it's not electric and he tires out quickly. I would love to know if your quads have the ability to have all the main controls including steering on the right. He could reach over and run things with his right hand on the left side but steering I fear is the largest hurdle to overcome.

The first thing you must keep in mind is that if anything goes wrong; what will come next? I was told good luck when I was dealing with a new ebike used less than a month. If you need parts it’s going to cost for this to be done, for this that needs to be changed. I have pleaded with these so called faithful companies to please help me. Well it’s not about feelings, it’s a business and it’s for the money now and later. They can make a lot more money after the ebike have been sold. This ebike I have already needs brake parts, then it was the seat. One problem after the next. Now the speed controller. I have two prosthetic legs and got around with a walker, seen this ebike and said boy this would be so great for me to get around. Now I see that I have to be careful of these spoils because the guarantees are not for everyone. For over a month I have been trying to get parts with absolutely no luck. Sure there is a warranty but good luck with those long weeks of headaches. All these companies work together. I have had my walker for over two years and it is still going strong, my ebike for less than a month and now all it’s doing is taking up space sitting with no hopes.

EDIT: Just saw the end of that video from march 4th and saw y'all actually box one up as is, that answers my question.

Everything we ship is fully assembled. Sometimes we'll have to fold a seat down or push a boom in to make it fit, but typically from the time it's unboxed from the time it's ready to ride is about 10 minutes.

Yes. If you're hauling down a hill and apply a lot of pressure to the brakes, you're going to lose some traction. Ride cautiously and know the limits of your trike.

I've been looking at buying a tricycle, but some of the reviews that I have read is that, during a turn, the tricycle can at times flip over. That's because the two wheels are on the back. Since your tricycles two wheels are on the front I assume there won't be that kind of problem? Also, your tricycles look fun to ride, I would be interested in purchasing one, but without a motor. I enjoy riding my 7 speed bicycle, up hills, and get in my exercise. I wouldn't want any assistance from a motor. It's defeating the purpose of riding a bicycle. Do you make your tricycles without a motor? How much would your tricycles cost without a motor? And if you do, how many gears, are they? Thank you for your video!!

I've never heard of anyone getting as little as 10 miles on a battery charge. We have a Bafang 750W on my wife's Tricon and have NEVER had a mileage/range issue. I personally rode 60+ miles on that trike (no lie, multiple trips) on a single charge and still had at least 40% battery left. She's never had to go above power level 4, even on our steepest hills. I also have a Shimano e6100 on my Ti Fly X. The battery has never been below half full before recharging, and I have ridden 35+ miles easily. I only use the highest power level on the steepest hills. If you can't do 60 miles on a single charge, you're doing something wrong.

These look like loads of fun! How “tippy” are these compared to a trike with a single wheel in the front? Thanks!
@UtahTrikesOnline4 жыл бұрын
The tadpole trikes (two wheels in front, one in back) are much more stable than the Delta trikes. For us the one wheel in front is much too prone to turning way to sharp and tipping your whole ride over.
@Jen-CelticWarrior4 жыл бұрын
Utah Trikes , thank you! I fell on the ice last March and got a tibial plateau fracture. I just started weight-bearing last week. I’m a tad paranoid about riding my two wheel e-bike at this point, so I trike or a quad is looking appealing.
@Jen-CelticWarrior4 жыл бұрын
Utah Trikes , this sounds like what I’d want, so thanks for the video and the reply. I fell on the ice last March and really mangled my knee, and I could not do any weight-bearing until just a couple of weeks ago. I loved my E-bike, but being a senior, I’m now a little paranoid about falling at this point! I would hate to land on this knee after it has healed. I think an E-trike would be the way to go. Those quad bikes look pretty fun, too! 😊
@glikar13 жыл бұрын
Your instincts are right. Tadpoles are unstable at high speeds for sure. You have to be very careful when going faster than 25 to 30. I lowered the COG by changing the shock location and found a considerable improvement in low-speed stability. The axis of rotation on a Tadpole Trike is a line between the rear axle and the front, so if you drop a front wheel off a 6-inch edge, you get thrown off to the side. With the mods I made, plus leaning against the turn or sudden wheel drop, it's now pretty stable on any trail.
