As long as it doesn't stress Bernadette and Haley out too much I would say take them. It would give Bernadette a bit of a reprieve from the bullying at feeding time as well as give her a chance to get extra calories into her. It would also be good so that you can reinforce your bond with her in case you need to intervene on her behalf at a later date, she will trust you more. Although from the looks of it, she definitely trusts you. When you were leaving the field to get the hay she was chasing you as if to say please don't leave me. A lot of farmers would tell you to not be so loving (being so attached) to just one cow, but I think it is the best, this way she will be in better condition for whatever purpose you want to use her in.

Hey Rhett, when you unroll the hay it helps to spread the manure exactly where you want it to go. Just keep moving the rolls where you need the manure to go next. If you want to see some one roll the hay with what is already on your tractor. Go to The channel “walker farm fam” episode we didn’t expect this about 6 weeks ago start at 15:00 minutes into the video. You’ll be surprised how easy it looks

I love the sight of these cows! On my honeymoon to Scotland many years ago, seeing a Highland 'coo' was on my bucket list of 'must see sights' while in Scotland. I finally caught sight of one from the train as we left Inverness on our way to Glasgow. I just love them! Quite a fan! (Belted Galloways are also on my list of favored breeds).

You don't need a bale unroller. You can turn your forks down and push like that, that's how I always do it. You can also push bale with implement on the back of your tractor, it does work easily either way

I like Bernadette. She is so sweet. I feel sad that she is at the bottom of the pecking order. Maybe you could save a few cubes just for her so she is sure to get some. I know Dusty does this for his lowest bison Elenor B/C was looking like she never got any. McFred's favorite thing was not only to flip the hay ring but to climb up in there and trample the hay while he played king of the mountain. Hay ring now gone and Chad is unrolling hay to. Splitting the fold sounds like a good idea and you can keep a closer look at what's going on.Take Bernadette and Howly.

Build up of manure you can take a spreader you know like a rake or drag and drag it hook it up to your ATV

A harrow or what some call a drag, would work better. You can aim the points up or down based upon what you are trying to accomplish. I realize it's another expense, but the benefits of the even feralization of your pastures would be worthwhile. I think that chains would be insufficient at best and will not accomplish what you need.

Great solution to help Bernadette get a good share of the hay. More work for you though. Would the ranger be strong enough to push? I think Bernadette & Hallie would be great for the Expo. WHAT SEX IS THE OTHER WHITE ONE AND HOW OLD IS IT??? They must have been really mean to Bernadette in the pecking order since she is so very far behind them when they come up for food and hay. (I grew up on a farm but had never seen one lag so far behind so it really surprises me at the distance) She sure is a pretty and sweet girl. I'm so in love with her. I ALWAYS fall so hard for the underdog or under-cow in this instance, as it may be. It's awesome you will be at the Okie Homesteading Expo, what a pleasant surprise!!!!
