Kaplan really you seem to be surprised like its your first time . But thats acceptable as your not from the racing capital of the world were i grew up called indy ...we here race ever thing ..we even race bar stools powered up with real small block chevys under them ...(what goes on in indy stays in indy) . Shifter karts. Have been around for well over 25 years . The CR125R shifter karts will do over a 100 as it better or you aint even in the hunt . But be in grown up as a hoosier hillbilly ..go karts dont handle a fresh plowed field under hot pursuit like an 850 hp modified late model small block dale earnhardt signature series on VP methanol will ...but you known when you think your hot shit on top the food chain there is always some one out of left field who can throw a curve ball that you cant see comin . Once upon a time a bunch of them northern boys who only race asphalt came down to Paragon a dirt track for modified late models and outlaw sprints were guys like steve kinser sammy swindell and tony stewart got there start up in outlaw sprints ...and we were haven a hoot as these northern boys didnt even know how to turn left on dirt without crashin or spinin out eazy pickens right ? But way WRONG . So it was this old rusted out school bus that that had the words painted on the side with a paint brush hee haw style that said hoosier tires . Wtf we never heard of them as it was there first week in business and their first race they had ever gone to ...all of a sudden them northern boys are mounting up them thar hoosier hillbilly tires that we had never heard of before ...and then to rub salt into our wounds them northern boys began putting down record breaking times for modified late models and only a couple seconds under steve kinser's lap times in an outlaw sprint and then 20 minutes later all teams of modified late model and outlaw sprint are mount up all the hoosier tires the old boy could stuff in his rusted out school buss as before we could barely get it all figured out Hoosier tires were all sold out on their first time selling tires. You ever get ,,that dull full feeling deep in your guts that tells you just fuck up big time...and the rest is history as you already know about the difference Hoosier tires can make

You should see 8 or 10 of them on a quarter mile dirt oval, it's spectacular, it's no rookies racing them it's the vets, they put on a show for sure.👍

Our 1000cc Micro Mini Sprint cars are similar to that.... but we have suspension to retain traction on the dirt. That kart would do really well on asphalt with slicks I'd bet. Would love to see it wide open on a paved oval track.

Outlaw Karts the beginners but not novice sprint car start up for dirt cup racing . The Hp to weight ratio is the highest on four wheels affordable to the average adrenaline junkies . Just remember to circle left and steer hard over right WOT , wing forward down the straight wing and back it in to the corner . Way cool
