My grandpa was also in a russian communist labor camp for 15 or 14 years in Siberia. He was imprisoned for being a pacifist and refusing to join the army. The pnly story i have from gis tome there was that he once prayed for food in desperation and he found bread under a rock. He passed his faith to my Dad who passed it to me. I loved to hear them both talk about what they thought heaven would be like.

I had brain damage for over 17 years from child abuse. I lost my 20s, 30s and 40s to healing. I can say like Corrie ten Boom, I've never felt God's presence so strongly and seen His miracles so near as when I was in horrid suffering. I was all alone. I miss that deep communion with my Savior. I know He is with me now, but my desperation was a gift I won't give back.

Wurmbrandt preached at a chapel service at Christ For The Nations - Dallas. Afterwards, he prayed for the student body. We stood, and he lifted his hands and prayed. I saw and felt like water breaking over my head as the blessing moved beyond me. I have never experienced that since. Amazing impartation. To this day, I am blessed in all my tribulations and distresses: I am able to seek and bless God in all my struggles as though they were brought to me on angels' wings. And the Presence! I am a believer in Christ Jesus. About a month ago I was able to spend a week in Western Romania. Here are some notes: Traveling through the various villages, the street signs read like this…upon entering: “Welcome to [name of town] May God bless you.” Exiting they read: “Have a good trip and may God be with you.” Mind you, these are official signs posted by the governing body of each village. Who would have expected that in a former Communist state? The village I stayed in has 80-90 houses and one Evangelical church. About 60 attend that church. In the city of Arad, you will find private Christian primary and secondary schools. In Oradea (population 200,000) there is also a private Christian university. At some point in the 1980’s, Oradea, had a revival. They were baptizing 200 a week or 200 a month. I forget the numbers. Whatever it was, that was a lot of people, and, they were still under Communism.
