He also told us to avoid the presence of evil and, sad to say, that tends to be popping up in more and more places, so I isolate, not only obviously for the COVID thing, but also for the occasional riots in my city, and because people are becoming more and more wicked, including those that are in the churches and synagogues.

I once wrote down on paper, all my emotional baggage that came from a bad marriage and a subsequent divorce then I prayed to Jesus Christ to set me free of them and burned the paper in the backyard. Felt this weight lift off of me and those looping thoughts of victimhood disappeared! Praise the Lord! Peace came into my life after that.

I am reading a great book called, "The Body Keeps The Score." It is about trauma and how our brain and body cannot physically let it go. It starts out with PTSD. This book deals with real trauma and pain and along with Jesus Christ's help I am finally letting the past go.

A person can do everything humanly possible to fix himself but without dealing with the demons behind the lies the enemy simply waits and returns. He hides until a door is opened. Get angry? Open door. Been there done that. 😟 we must break soul ties and blood line curses in addition to what he advises. Salvation is only step 1.

Always been alone, with a lack of confidence and low self esteem...and so many people today because of Online and social media and online gaming so previlant....so many say they LIKE being alone now and don't like being around people. These people don't know what it's like to truly be alone because i can guarentee they were never alone, and in high school they had all kinds of friends and such. Some of us never had friends or tried too hard to get them and ended up pushing them away....and some of use jumped online in the 90s to escape the world and we got picked on for always being online...and now EVERYONE is online and being online is cool because you can now make money on the net. I jumped online in the 90s in high school and started down the path of the devil with porn and such...doing shit i shouldnt have...but in ALL that God NEVER gave up on me even after losing my first child 17 years ago...when i trulyfell into darkness and drinking. Two years ago i just Stopped drinking with NO worldly help...just a tug at my heart and realizing i have to do better for my son. The Internet and gaming doesn't even do anything for me anymore...I grow bored if I sit on the computer too long now.

If someone is going to take their own life or is going to try to, they are most often going to be alone, by themselves. If another person were there with them as quality shared company they might be distracted out of the funk of their experience of sadness. If an individual expresses Hopelessness it is very important that they not be left alone until it can be certain that they are not experiencing feeling HOPELESS. It may require inviting the person to go out shopping, to go out to lunch, scheduling in shared time spent reading, creating art, watching movies, going out to the park, recreation, etc. In addition as made mention the individual might need to, might require to speak with a therapist, a psychologist, a professional counselor, and might need to consult a doctor. Good quality friendships and personal connection is important for humans. Asking direct questions and sharing laughter and ways to explore creativity can be helpful to all people. And anything that which depicts LIFE is a good addition, such as house plants, a pet, a responsibility of maintaining a tending to so as to care for something and have the aspect of life, and or unconditional love. Sunshine is also important. It is not good for an environment the home or office to be without light, natural light. Motivational sayings and uplifting statements of encouragement can also lend to a continuous reminder of value in self and others and in life. And finding strength through faith, through God, through Jesus Christ.

i really liked how he said when we isolate ourselves and put up walls, even when we think we're doing ok, all we've done is lock ourselves in with our baggage. every few years i try to make connections, and even when the connections last for 2 or so years, i always pull away and never understood why. i have come to know why over time, but didn't really know how to face it and conquer it. i experienced both parental and peer rejection growing up and that fear of rejection always creeps up on me sooner or later. i don't know how to let go of it, and feel awful that i have essentially pushed away / rejected so many people because of it.

Please be very, very careful to stay away from 'blame the victim' because there is no way to know right off what all is involved. And PLEASE understand that there is a continuum, that some may find relief fairly quickly and others it will take years. Also, PLEASE read The Inner World of Trauma: Archetypal Defences of the Personal Spirit by Donald Kalsched and understand that with severe cases of CPTSD, which what you are dealing with when this stuff comes from childhood, that things get worse before they get better and that is NOT the client's refusal to do what is needed - it is a sign of healing. If a person trying to help runs on false assumptions they will do more harm than good.

Reaching out and letting people in our life just lets more people problems stack up. There are lots of believers that are self-centered, micro managers and control freaks. Most of my believing friends either hog conversations, are critical and judgmental or too busy to do anything outside of church assemblies. It is frustrating and lonely.

In fact, it sounds like relationships with ONLY these ppl is causing your problem. Its probably time to get out and make a friend of to who can both talk and listen =)

The struggle is real. Perhaps you could try talking to believers online (eg through forums etc) if you are struggling to find a good group where you are? Ultimately the only person we can control is ourselves and our own attitudes (ie try not to let people get you down, try to understand the background of their perspective so you can respond more than react). I'm a work in progress with this too as I want deep friendships and spiritual connections but suck at socialising and have little time. But I believe in the power of prayer. I've seen God bring people into my life in recent times -very slowly and they are different to people I imagined I'd hang out with. I'm learning to accept each person as they are without unrealistic expectations for them filling all my needs. I've realised I've got things to give that they need and their perspectives help me too. Putting aside prejudices about others and their journey is an effort as we can see things through the filter of our own wounds (eg people will find me boring)- often people will surprise you with what they've been through and can share but building a relationship takes time and sacrifices on both sides. Relationships aren't easy- they do require putting aside pride, letting go of resentments and forgiving repeatedly. Putting yourself out there isn't easy but please don't give up. I'm sure the world needs your gifts. Remember how you've been forgiven and what God has done in the past. If all else fails, I recommend reading Christian biographies and autobiographies. Helps to see the example of someone's life and feel connected in some way
