Hey dark just thought I'd tell you I currently work with reptiles and bugs and we have had one tarantula whom people always think is extremely mean and your vids inspired me to go ahead and prove them wrong so I began holding it more and more and now it's one of our educational animals we use around kids! Thanks for giving me a reason to really want to work with that animal!

Its really not recommended to handle Ts, simply because it poses a great risk to the T- if it falls it can easily rupture its abdomen and spend the next 24hrs slowly bleeding to death

When I was in elementary school a zoo worker brought a tarantula (G.porteri) in to show off and it really helped spark my interest in spiders. Kids get more out of interacting with something than by simply observing it. If the species being handled poses very little risk to the handler than I don't see the harm. The benefit to the children is far greater than the risk to the spider.

Maybe it could upset the spider to take it right then. ( whilst filming) for close ups maybe the person only has one hand or it could be the spider doesn't like the lights needed to film?) So..... I'm no expert and am in no way being hateful here its just my thoughts on your question. I'm more than open to correction. I love reading comments and learning about this hobby I'm thinking about taking up.
