I love these animals more and more! ❤ If my B. boehmei male would finally moult before I move ... I am aware you are trying to expand you Poecilotheria collection, correct? Have you ever thought about getting a Poecilotheria Rajaei? Supposedly, they are native to Sri Lanka and have about an 8 inch (20.32 cm :P) leg span, so they are fairly big. Then again, most Poecilotherias are fairly big. Anyway, I love these videos and am curious on your answer :)

But yours really are gorgeous, and i love the happy dance, it´s so cute :) I don´t think i´ll ever hold one, but i might try to not scream and run next time i see a spider. XD What was the black bug thingy with claws? I´ve never seen one like that before. And what is Linda(?) actually doing, when doing the happy dance?

1st let me just say I never expected to go from looking for mantis information, crossing your channel, becoming addicted to a whole new genre I have missed out on (prob because of where I live & popularity of invertebrates being low here) binge watching for a week learning alot, to tracking down an exotic shop, & now staring at my new built enclosure with my gorgeous 2 juvenile Avicularia diversipes I was lucky enough to find. Almost got a whip scorpion too lol, but in time! Plus I told the shop owner about your channel, & your whip scorpion I was watching last night! At any rate, do you have this species of pink toe? They are not skidish, very friendly, & surprisingly rivals the Antilles versicolor with colors & markings!

Had a small Psalmopoeus cambridgei sling some time ago but sadly it died. Interesting fact: their venom contains Vanillotoxin and Psalmotoxin, both of wich are structurally similar to Capsaicin, the compount that makes chilis spicy. Unlike Capsaicin however those two toxins work on birds as well. So it's quite the spicy girl

Real quick question. I just got a 5-inch Gramostola Rosea. I was wondering what I should feed it. I would prefer not to use crickets but I don't know if I can afford roaches. Can I feed it super worms or mealworms? If not what should I feed it?
@heraldius74586 жыл бұрын
Today was just depressing. My first Tarantula ever Coco (grammostola pulchripes) died this morning, i don't know why but it just happened. I got her 4 years ago and she was doing fine until today. And if that wasn't depressing enough, my oldest scorpion (Heterometrus spinifer) lost it's stinger last night and i heard it won't grow back. I know that in this hobby things like this can just happen but it makes me more and more depressed even tho they are only insects.

Ah, yes; the Euathlus sp red. One of my favorite species. But the slings. Grow. So slow. I've had one sling for two years now. It was about the size of a pencil eraser when I got it; and now! It is the size of a pencil eraser. It spent a year in premolt. Yes, a -year- I honestly thought it was dead several times; but occasionally I would catch it moving around in it's burrow.
@headrockbeats6 жыл бұрын
If it were legal, I would catch and send you a chaetopelma olivaceum. Every single time you opened the box, the spider would've reared up beautifully for the camera and then proceed to escape the box and/or bite you. They are f*ing angry little monsters. It would've been hilarious.

Have you got any spider colony? I know huntsman spiders can live in communities, and I guess this isn't a unique behavior. It would be cool to see multiple spiders (of course compatible species) living in a single enclosure. There may be a reason you haven't done this tho.

Why are your enclosures so small for your tarantulas. Don't they at least need a little room to move around? And don't be usually have a hide to go into? I'm new to all this tarantula wrangling stuff So I've only seen the way the trantulas are kept on the Exotic lair on KZbin. I've often wondered if you guys in person or at conventions. We have a lot in common that's for sure. I just wanted to know why they are kept in such teeny tiny little boxes
