I can definitley recommend B. Smithi as a first tarantula, nice colours, good behaviour, good eater and you dont have to worry about moisture too much.

MadGamer LoL you should get an Asian fawn or a Mexican red knee because they adapt to a variety of conditions but i can't tell if they will be aggressive ir not. Asain fawn spin amazing webs and mexican red knee are very easy to take care of and slow moving (i dropped my mexican red knee and it just stood still and didnt try and make a run for it) just dont rely on my information because tarantulas have different personalities.

Hey, I've been a subscriber for some time now, and before I started watching your videos I WAS TERRIFIED of any kind of spider. Now, you've helped me lose my arachnophobia (fear of spiders for anyone who doesn't know what I mean) but now, I think I'm going to ask for a good beginner spider from my parents, if they say no, wait until I'm 14 since my friends dad offered me a part time job (for anyone who is curious, the pay is $500 every month). I plan to convince my parents then to allow to keep a spider.

While it’s presumably not painful for the tarantula (it’s hard to know for sure it’s not) they are pretty vulnerable afterwards and for a couple days after which I’m sure mildly stresses the T out

Festive I've bought direct from breeders and from some of the bigger suppliers Petco buys from and know the owners and can tell you that's complete bullshit. Absolutely there are bad sellers out there but there's only two reasons to come to negative conclusions about Petco or his suppliers, either you haven't watched the dark den videos and seen for yourself how healthy and well looked after all his Ts are or you know nothing about keeping Ts and think they need to be in some huge ecosystem enclosure which is completely false. In either case you guys are wrong and might be better to keep your opinions to yourself

One of my Favorite Videos of all time, and it Randomly Pops up on my recommends. Glad things have Progressed so well for you overt the Year's now. This Molting-type video is the Video that helped me 11 Year's ago to get over my Aracniphobia.. I was always Interested in spiders,but more Terrified. Whoa that flip at the end was so smooth and quick! I couldn’t even slow it down to se exactly how it happened! I would love a video of that! I have one of these that someone threw away in the trash and I recovered from the dump. She needs a good molt. She has never spun any webbing except a small mat. She had her first horn worm last Friday and the next day she spun the first webbing that looks like the beginning of this type of web. But stopped. I love watching molt videos... our chilean rose always seemed to molt at night, and once under her shelter. Can't believe how lovely these colours were before hand, truly stunning afterwards.
