I inherited a pickup last year that I sold thinking I didn’t “need” it. Now I am trying to figure out how to move some stuff from another state to mine wishing I had one. Companies are quoting me thousands of dollars as if I was moving a household which I’m not. I have a small SUV and decided to pay $500 for a hitch plus installation. I plan drive down and rent a trailer which is much cheaper than renting a truck. I don’t have to book a flight and rent a car to bring my stuff back. To the comment about "we are going to owe money to the IRS at the end of the year because we haven't been paying during the year" - pay it NOW! Don't wait until the end of the year. Penalties and interest accrue DAILY, so don't wait another day. Q1 payments were due middle of April so if you pay it now then you will only have penalties and interest for less than a month. But if you wait until next April you'll owe interest and penalties for a YEAR.

Your average rent is $1000 meanwhile the US is double at $2000. Your cities and towns are more walkable bikeable, better public transportation and driving distances are less so you save there. Schooling and healthcare costs lower. Average take home of a German is $2853 and average take home of an American is around $3300. So while we may make a bit more on average our cost of living and way of living is more expensive. If you’re more than average though in the USA you can make a a lot more than in Germany and becoming a home owner is easier from what I’ve read. So there’s pros and cons.

No they need more babies so they can support them later
@mathematician12348 ай бұрын
Oh no! I have listened to too many of these calls. When Mr. Kamel said "When is the baby due?" (6:54) I thought he said "What does the baby do?" That is, what is that baby doing for a living and how much money is it bringing in? Like the kid needs to start working OT or something.

Ok. So work truck for 35k is reasonable, a almost paid off mazda, thats fine, just why the hell theres another 25k jeep? 30k cc is a problem, 20k student loan isnt that bad tbh, they need 5 years to fix this
@Emerica7718 ай бұрын
if you start investing into a high yield savings account at 5% and you have a mortgage at 2.5% and your mortgage payment is 1000.00 and you invest 1000.00 a month into a high yield savings account.. That first month you would have paid about 300 in interest towards the mortgage meanwhile your 1000.00 in your high yield savings account made 50.00 dollars. The amount of interest paid in the first few years of the mortgage loan outweighs the amount of interest accrued in a high yield savings account. That's why the guy l initially responded to giving me 'simple math' left out the first 5 years of the 15 year mortgage. Don't try and insult my math when you simply can't comprehend simple math.

@@Emerica771 because your example is idiotic, u are comparing hysa vs mortgage, Thats dumb Putting 5% into hysa is pathetic, how about some funds for 10%+ and some crypto for like 50 -100%???
@Emerica7718 ай бұрын
@@johndone8045 it’s not putting 5% into a high yield savings account, it’s putting the monthly mortgage payment in the high yield savings account with a return rate of 5%. No wonder you don’t understand you really are just stupid.
@Emerica7718 ай бұрын
@@johndone8045 the entire comparison of this debate was whether or not it’s more beneficial to put money into a high yield savings account rather than paying off your mortgage early. Good lord you are a high school drop out no doubt.

Any non-STEM degrees need to be looked at with a microscope (opportunities, pay, etc.) prior to starting.
@christinebutler76308 ай бұрын
And even some STEM degrees. A B.S. in biology is worthless unless you know you're going straight into med school or veterinary school. A B.S. in Chem or physics is better but most likely is also going to require grad school. Engineering or applied science of some sort is a shorter route to high pay. Math, especially a statistics degree, is a good move.

So they have a shit tone of debt and decided to go ahead and have a baby, tht was a real smart thing to do. And why doesn’t she have a job. Not saying having debt shdnt be the reason for u to not have a kid but gotta be smarter.
@stevenporter8638 ай бұрын
Í clicked on this video for that exact reason. They are drowning in debt, don't pay taxes and decide to have a baby. People shouldn't have babies until they are student loan, etc. debt free or at least a real plan to get out from under. Otherwise the kid will just be an addition to the welfare society.
