I thought the live-action version was okay. Different but felt a bit more natural. Joan Plowright's Nanny is immediately terrified of Jasper and Horace and tries to close the door, and then manages to deck Horace before Jasper overpowers her. The original though is definitely the best, what with Horace saying "gas company" and Jasper desperately trying to correct him, and Jasper's pretty convincing bluff about the act of parliament. Also "Long-Legged Lummox" is such a great insult!

What’s sad is that the puppies being stolen could’ve been avoided if Pongo, Perdy, and the owners would’ve took Cruella’s revenge warning more seriously and set up more security to protect the puppies cause Cruella wasn’t giving up so easily and all of this was to exact revenge on Roger for standing up to her as well.

Bruh, there's something classical and magical about the animation and how they drew everything back then. Too much CGI for these newer movies

I saw this full length cartoon at the movie theater back in 1961 at the ripe old age of 9, as I'm 71 now. Cartoons back in those days were very well put together, with attention paid to every detail unlike today's cartoons. Today they just don't put the work into them, thinking kids won't notice the poor quality. The old Warner Brother's (with Bugs Bunny, for instance) were backed by a complete sound effects department and a full orchestra!

Horace and Jasper pushed their way into the house, locked Nanny in the attic, and stole the puppies!

Some of us would question why Nanny opened the door to strangers at night. However, it was considered rude and disrespectful to not open the door for people. You didn't just not open the door. However, Nanny was suspicious from the beginning and tried to close the door on them and tried to put up a fight against them. Not only did Jasper and Horace look suspicious, but their speech, bag, and even saying they were there to inspect the wiring and the switching at night when the electricity is working is definitely an off put.

I like that the villains are very eloquent and intelligent. Actually kind of like them in a way I think I don't like what they're doing but I do kind of like them just for how much enjoyment they get out of what they do. But I do like it when they get their comeuppance

I have absolutely no idea what the nanny is thinking here, she's an elderly woman all alone in the house, has no possible way of defending herself, she sees two large, extremely suspicious looking men ringing the bell, and she opens the door ?? That's just *asking* for trouble.
@jarekmiller4337 Жыл бұрын
Never thought about that. The whole film could’ve been avoided if the the Radcliffes would’ve took Cruella’s actions more seriously and the older woman should’ve closed the door once she saw the two henchman and called the police right away.

But as eddy said three decades later on the 90s Cartoon Network show Ed edd n’ eddy to double d ideas like that would’ve ruin the plot. T.v. Shows or movies
