I have been to Egypt, in the early 1980's. My family lived in Saudi Arabia (my father's job relocated him) and we got to travel. My uncle worked for the US Embassy, so we would go visit him fairly often. Even as an 8 year old kid, I got to ride a camel across the desert. It was.. neat, but weird. My younger brother once took off on a horse across the desert and one of our guides had to go after him and get him back. Fun times.
