And you knw what? There's only one of those things I might even do, so it's fine with me. I'll be fine (but hopefully not fined) if I ever get to visit this lovely place!

Chewing of gum isn't forbidden but selling them is. It depends on what type of gums too. If it's a medical gum like those that helps smokers get rid of their addiction then yes, those gums can be sold but for pure "entertainment" kinda gum, no. You can eat gum that's be bought from overseas but you just can't sell those gums around.

2) It's "Jor-Hor", not "Yo-Hor". 43) Eh... No. Primary education is NOT free. It's just heavily subsidized but not free. If you're a local born Singaporean, you pay only about 20-40 SGD for school fees whereas if you're a PR (Permanent Residence, something like a US Green Card), your kids get subsidized too but not as much and the average you'll have to pay for your kids is about 150-300 SGD while if you're a full foreigner, your school fees will be about 850-1500 SGD so, yes. It's subsidized but not free. 49) It's "Sing-gah-poo-ra", not "Sing-gah-pew-ra" 52) You said Singapura correctly here so how did you trip up in 49? ANNNYWAY, what Srivajayan prince? If you're saying who we think it is then he's called Sang Nila Utama here as that's his real name and his coronation name that you're trying to say should have been pronounced as "Sir-ree Tree Bua-nah". All I heard was "Tree-Tree-Bua-nah" 64) "Boo-kit", not "Bew-Kit"
@danialroslan15313 жыл бұрын
Sri Tri Buana or Sang Nila Utama is a prince from Srivijaya, the dominant power in the region during the that time. And another thing, speaking Mandarin is not encouraged for the whole country. It is just encouraged over various Chinese dialects
@MrLolx2u3 жыл бұрын
@@danialroslan1531 I know who Sang Nila Utama is. Thank you. And yes, Mandarin is preferred over the other Chinese dialects like Hokkien or Cantonese but those dialects are being brought back slowly and the government has cut the slack on it more and more as more TV shows, radios and movies are actually allowing dialects to be spoken in shows and even songs in dialect can be heard playing in either of the examples given.
