Fun Fact. The next planet in line after jupiter, is saturn. The distance between Jupiter and Saturn, is almost the exact distance between Jupiter and the Sun. That's a long ways

I still remember, 20 years later, In first grade, I marked Venus as the hottest planet in the solar system. The teacher marked it wrong trying to say “lol of course it’s Mercury, it’s the closest silly!” And I was like “yes but the greenhouse effect and-“ “Oh sure sure haha, hey you got every other question right!”

I think it depends on how you measure the distance. It maight be smaller from the sun to the outer most planet but the impact of the gravitational pull from the sun is greater.

@@valwei2 that’s why I think it’s actually the heliosphere and outside the heliosphere is considered inter-stellar space. Because if you really think about it, every object in the universe have a gravitational affect on everything else no matter how minuscule that might be.

The solar system, which arguably ends after the Oort Cloud, is only about a light year in diameter... hell our closest neighboring star system Alpha Centauri is only 4 light years away from us, so how the hell can our solar system be 100 light years across? Many people have been asking me Space questions (Cause I'm the 'space nerd' of my friends and family) that I couldn't figure out an answer for. These were the questions: Why is Uranus sideways? Where did the Fifth Giant (Which is a commonly theorized planet) go? Why is Neptune so much farther away? Why can't we find the 9th planet yet? So I suddenly had the idea to answer all of those questions with one theory, which I will now call: *The 9th Migration theory.* It all begins with the Solar System, when it had 9 planets: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, 5th Giant, Uranus, Neptune. Everything was fine, until suddenly, 5th Giant collided with Uranus, causing Uranus to flip on it's side, and 5th Giant to fly towards Jupiter. The intense gravity on Jupiter caused 5th Giant to fly away from the Solar System, collide with Neptune, and both of those planets to migrate far away from the Sun. Neptune is still visible, and the 5th Giant is missing. The 9th planet is theorized to be between the sizes of Saturn and Neptune, and very far away, so I think that the 5th Giant IS THE 9TH PLANET, AND WE ALWAYS HAD 9 PLANETS!!! And that, my friends, is *The 9th Migration theory.*

4:06 This one is kinda interesting because the sun is hot... It's interesting because it gets as hot as 27 million degrees Fahrenheit in the sun's core. The energy travels outward through a large area called the convective zone. Then it travels onward to the photosphere, where it emits heat, charged particles, and light. Very interesting fact indeed. 🍷🗿

According to legend, there is a planet closer to the sun than Mercury, namely planet Vulcan. (Not Spock's planet, that is The Vulcan.) It would have a lot of volcanic activity, like Jupiter's moon Io. An Astronomer was said to have discovered it, with a special solar telescope. But, then could not find it again. Maybe it did once exist, but got destroyed due to the sun's gravity.

@@tiger3249 there’s 2 pronunciations of how to say Halley. The most common is Halley, Hayley came from apparently a musician called Bill Haley. Apparently there’s a 3rd but it doesn’t list it. Although what’s confusing is it says Halley is pronounced Hæli which in google translate says Hayley but on Wikipedia they say rhymes with Valley? 😵‍💫 so I’m gonna stick with Halley since that’s what Neil DeGrasse Tyson calls it and he is an astrophysicist and this stuff is he’s job 😅

@@Gingerchalky yeah but lets face it neil's is a bellend who thinks he's wiser than everyone on earth. Also..im English, and brian cox pronounces it hayley. When we learnt in school about it at the time it was taught as hayley. So im sticking with that.

I've only watched 90 seconds and already caught two errors, one non important, but another really freaking huge (the diameter of the solar System). Maybe that's why.

Regarding being too mature for butt jokes about planet Uranus - Good one. I only heard about that other meaning for the first time when I was 18, in 1982, when watching the movie ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’. I thought that it was being immature. Someone at a later time when watching said that it is fear. I would pronounce it as ‘U-ranus’.

Did you just say that our solar system takes up 1,500 light years of space in the Milky Way? LOL We’re only at number 3 and that’s WILDLY INCORRECT… I’m done watching this.
