He meant it would take 70k yrs to reach the Sun if you travelled to it on a medium like road. He probably took a top speed of a rocket and used division to find the time it takes to travel to the Sun. Reality is very different thought. To travel in space, you don't take some direct highway, you take an orbit. Simply said to avoid all the complicated "rocket science", you would travel a lot faster to the Sun because you accelerate rapidly towards it, just as you do from falling down to Earth.

+101Facts Sam, I believe you mistook the sun for Proxima Centauri (or closest Stellar neighbor beyond the sun). That would take 70,000 years to get to, the sun would only take a few months to reach (we have satellites orbiting it)

It would not take a space craft 70,000 years to get to the sun. Voyager 1, the space craft sent to the outer solar system, is over 145 times farther away from earth then the sun. It was sent in 1977.

+Elliott Lubrin it takes 19 years actually, the distance between the Sun and Earth is 1 AU. The average distance between the sun and Pluto is 40 AU Voyager 1(or 2 I forget lol) past that... plus if you look it up you'll find out quickly they spread a false fact.

“Fact” #23 is technically wrong. It would only be right if the space craft was going under 60 miles per hour. But at 60 miles per hour you would travel 525,000 miles a year. So at 60 miles per hour it would take about 177 years to get to the sun.

You said it'll take 1 million earth's to fill the sun. You also said if the sun's the size of a beach ball, the earth will be the size of a pea. so 1 million peas will fit in the beach ball?

Ok so lemme get this straight about fact 18 and 20, it takes 1 million earths to fit inside the sun yet if the sun was the size of a beachball Earth would be the size of a pea? Something doesn't add up here.

Number 71 is wrong. In the video it shows Io and there are dwarf planets even colder like Eris at -240C and Sedna at -250C.
