The more I use my tractor, the more I kick myself for waiting so long to pick one up. I can literally take it out and play, have a blast doing it, all while making my wife think I'm doing something productive. Keep up the great videos!

Thanks RN! Last week I went to help my neighbor lift something super heavy off his truck. We started to lift it and I said “what I minute! I have a tractor with pallet forks!” I ran home and got the tractor. Saved the day!

I too love my Kubota and grapple, I can't imagine life without it. BTW, hooking up the hydraulics can be a challenge, especially if you change one implement to another and both use hydraulics. Of course, shut off the tractor and work the 3rd function control to drain off the pressure. But you may also need to gently "tap" the needle valve in the connector to release all the fluid pressure. The least amount of fluid pressure can cause the tiny needle valve to be hard to connect the hose connectors... tapping the tine needle valve in the center will release enough pressure and make connection a lot easier. The voice of experience! Good video. OH, and do you have a video about your honey bee operation? I'd be interested to see if you do. Thanks. Ft. Worth, Texas

When I was growing up on a farm 40 years ago, it was rare to see a tractor with an FEL. My Kubota dealer says now, he can't sell a compact or sub-compact without one. 3rd functions and grapples are definitely the new hotness!! I like the way you section your lawn and mow it versus just going round and round the edges....so much more efficient when you divide it like that.
@MyClutteredGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Brad! I’d be lost without a FEL for sure!

Ed, you've got great work ideas, as little manual labor as possible, and making it fun. Tractor unstable creates the butt pucker affect. Very nice video Ed, stay safe and enjoy your weekend.

I noticed you parked your grapple onto a 4x8 sheet of wood and a 2x10 tilting the grapple forward... SMART. The first time I unhooked my grapple, I sat it on the ground and without "propping" it forward... that made hooking it up extra difficult the second time... And now, when I'm finished with the grapple, I set it on boards similar to what you have done and it makes hoop up a lot easier! Should have watched your video first!!! Bravo.

Save yourself some future problems and get caps for those hydraulic fittings. A little sand can chew up a hydraulic pump. Seat time is fun but the machine will wear out eventually. Baby it and properly maintain it. I cut all wood over 1 1/2" for burning and the rest gets chipped to mulch the garden. Good Luck, Rick
@MyClutteredGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Rick. Not sure why the dealer didn’t put caps on, but I know I should. I appreciate your comments! -Ed

Great channel and video. I too have the B2601 with the Artillian Grapple. Have you noticed any problems with your loader control valve sticking or just not being smooth? Mine will freeze up some times doing random movements. I also have a big Kubota (MX5800) and it is very smooth. I am a little frustrated with the loader control on the B2601. Love everything else about this little tractor. Mighty mouse. Just wondering if mine has a problem or if that is just how these small loaders work. I brought it into the dealer to check it out and they said nothing was wrong. Not sure I trust them. Sure seems like it should be a lot smoother. It’s Kubota! 😂
@MyClutteredGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, David. I agree that the loader controls could be smoother. I even sprayed my linkage with WD40 last week. It’s acceptable but could be better. I’d like to compare it with an LX sometime. Artillian makes really great attachments! Thanks for watching. -Ed
@davidrunk19802 жыл бұрын
I am trying to do the same. I can’t find an LX with a loader anywhere to test drive. Lots of L’s with loaders to try but that’s a pretty big tractor for my situation. GP Outdoors has said his Cab LX2610 loader control is much smoother than his old B2601 but I want a ROPS and I think the loader valves are different on the CAB vs ROPS on the LX. Keep the videos coming on the B2601. Good stuff.

Great video Ed. I noticed your grapple hoses have a 90 degree fitting at the end where they connect to the tractor. Wondering how comfortably the hoses lay throughout the dump and curl process. We have the same grapple, but with straight fittings at the hose ends, and they have a concerning tight bend when fully curled. All the best, Ben from Nova Scotia
@MyClutteredGarage2 жыл бұрын
Thanks Ben! I don’t have any issues or concerns with the hoses. The elbows may help with that. And maybe your hoses are a bit short?
