I can't hep it but I love Judo, I been doing it for 30 plus years,since I was 11..The tachi n newaza is beautiful, a human ballet chess game. It is a total zen moment. 1 against 1 n excellent metaphor 4 life. Unfortunately here in the USA we shall never have Judo at the same level as Europe n as in other countries that have universal health. Players here fear the economical cost of the smallest of injuries. I myself stopped competing even thou my Sensei (Mr. Shiina) said I had Olympic potential.

It is a shame that we in the USA are behind in Universal health and we can not compete with the countries that do have it such as in Europe Britain, France, Russia, Brazil,Japan, n others. Also because of the cost of injury Judo is practiced in a soft manner here in USA, even BJJ which is basically 1/2 of judo, has surpassed Judo. because of the throws. BJJ 1 is more prone 2 injury. It totally baffles me. We spent 3 trillion on war forgetting health care. we loose
