I like watching your gameplay even more than tournaments. The thing I miss about your Duel Links videos is watching you playing live, the variety of decks you used was great too. I know there is still Twitch to watch live games but something about your old Duel Links format worked so well, maybe that just wouldn't apply to master duel and maybe it is better with replays with this game but still I wanted to point that out. Also branded despia videos are great and I feel like I won't get tired of them anytime soon but I'd also like to see branded mixed with other stuff like shaddoll, buster blader etc

Same here I play despia when it's out because I love fusion type (I main shadoll before despia) and the only boss monster they got is quaritis which is not a good boss monster, then masquerade, guardian chimera, and now a whole bunch of support hahahah I dismantle my other decks just to finish my branded despia(rip my numeron and shadoll hahahah)

For the first turn kill section, you could have optimized slightly by using Poly with Aluber and Ad Libitum instead of Edge Imp, that way Aluber is in the graveyard in case they get rid of your fusions and you can special summon it for a slight disruption.

Main power of branded despias comes from opponents inability to precisely know how many extenders or disruptions you have. With branded in red, you can start opponents turn with a single mirrorjade and end with mirrorjade, guardian chimera and possibly more despias depending on your hand, graveyard and set cards. Opponent cant effectively counter your board because your true board isnt even on the field, rendering cards like forbidden droplet, dark ruler, kaijus and lava golems almost useless.

The only way I see anyone winning against this is to lock down dark and light trough a chaofeng + protos combo ( If you don't get interrupted ), Or a gravekeeper deck.

no matter how shit the combo is as long as you get to denglong you should have no problem getting chaofeng + protos, if your opponent isnt able to make either then they misplayed, simple as, the only out branded despia has against an actually correct auroradon combo is superpoly for proskenion and procede to make plays with light fusions

Branded Despia is really good ngl but it all depends of who goes first and the board they make.. Most of the time they go for two or three fusions: usually end up with Mirrorjade and Tax dragon (if they can they go for Chimera and Dramaturge). The combo is annoying and it can get them the win but its not unbreakable. Adventure, Pranks, PK, Swordsouls and even Dragon Links can get around them... I like it because going against that deck still gives you chance to come back and its actually fun to play with (they obliterate Eldlich and thats a win lol) unlike the usual meta which is go first gg wp

How is diamond 1 tier mid-range? Their is low tier, mid tier, top-tier, and then there is the meta. Diamond 1 in master duel is meta and things that can survive the meta, its nowhere near mid range.

I'm excited to get access to Mirrorjade in my Dragon decks. I run Albaz as a Heavenly Spheres target. This lets Heavenly Spheres (non-targeting) bounce once as a quick effect, then immediately fuse using their monster with Albaz, and then I have Mirrorjade as a quick effect banish. That's 3 interactions off of a single Link 2. Of course it's almost always accompanied by multiple negates as well.

While we're on the topic of braded despia, I recently had a weird thing happen. i'd post this question in a dedicated forum but i do not know of any, so here i go: it was my turn with a dramaturge on my field. Other player summons chimera with branded in red, and the game offers me to activate dramaturge before he even activates the chimera... obviously, chain link1 dramaturge didn't do shit and i loston the spot. Did i have ignition effect priority because it's my turn? Could I have not activated and would i have been given another opportunity to activate after the chimras ignition was triggered?

The thing with Branded decks is that you can still work your way around them if you negate the correct cards... Which is something several players don't do as they just play the cards like they've "read in the manual" instead of actually reading them. Sadly enough Yugioh has turned into a game where your goal is to demoralize your opponent by filling your field and hand with as many negates as possible. You win by making X combo until your opponent decides they cannot stop you and surrender. That makes running cards like Ash, Maxx C, and Called By mandatory as you want to have any combination of those three in your opening hand if you go second, otherwise your opponent is going to set up an unbreakable board 1st turn.

Can someone tell me how branded lost work? It say card with effect to fusion summon a fusion monster cannot be negated, but when i use fallen albaz it got negate by imperm or when i use branded fusion it got negated by ash

read carefully，it says the activation cant be negated. not the effect cant be negated. that means you can go ahead to activate(yellow light on card), but the effect ashed(negate effect), impe(effect negated)

Great content like always, very informative. I just beat this deck in 1 turn.(I can show it if u want) Using my stun deck. I went first, used my field card mausoleum of the emperor, I summoned majesty's fiend, I equipped it with moon mirror shield. When it was his turn, he did summon a couple monster but cuz he couldn't activate the effects so he surrendered. That felt so good.

Just a little info as a reference point: i'm playing a really weird version of the deck that runs Shaddoll with Grass in a 60 cards build. And i reached Diamond without much trouble. Yes that deck carried me and my bad life decisions. But it's a fun deck with interesting mirror match interactions. I don't mind Tier 0 decks if they are THIS back and forth

@@Big1nz yes i actually don't mind Tier 0 formats if the deck itself is fun, interactive and skillful in a mirror match. Nekroz is beloved for that. So are Dragon Ruler, Zoo and Sky Striker in retrospect. Playing Branded Despia against other Branded Despia players has been the most fun i had in Master Duel. Of course on that note: Tier 0 formats shouldn't last for an eternity.

I don't see how it not being a board of negates so therefore interactive is cool 🤣 Oppressive is oppressive. Every single deck you mentioned dominated or had one very close contender,and were all unhealthy formats.

What decks best abuse the branded despia engine? I feel like shaddolls naturally work best with it, but I also feel like phantom knights would be actually really strong with it as well. If you're worried about flu bird, you can also use Lightning Storm instead. They will always be in attack position since the birds are normal summon only. This will also give you a choice to either destroy the birds or their back row.
