rotating the pencil... one most veterans don't know. right?
@KAUZ12407 жыл бұрын
About the only time I care about a really, really sharp point is when I'm laying out. I'm old school and do my layout on a stick (some call it a story board). Here a #4 pencil and some fine sand paper glued to a small paddle keep the point sharp sharp. Drawing a line 3/4" of an inch long doesn't give much time to rotate. One thing was the dust off in paint cans to replace the oxygen.
@wortheffort7 жыл бұрын
ya, I thought most people would think the sharp pencil was a joke. I saw/chop to the sides of pencil lines so it really doesn't matter to me how fine it is. If I really need accuracy I use a knife.
@KAUZ12407 жыл бұрын
Agreed, but not for layout. For me once the piece is marked, it's leave the line take the line or split the line. It's harder than most would think to put the line on the piece exactly where you want it.

Tip 102: when you start a project grab a tape measure, then only use that tape measure and only that tape measure for the whole project! They are all slightly different.
@maplobats4 жыл бұрын
The problem is, every time I put the tape measure down, it vanishes until I give in and use a different one...then it reappears right where I swear I looked for it 5 times...

My most versatile tool, endless uses! To the viewers: •SIMPLE GREEN. (If u don't love it, you haven't tried it.) •Magnets people! •Tap tap tap •& wax WAX wax!
