#101 fixing shop dayton air compressor 240v 7-1/2hp repair motor reed capacitor harley tatro machine
after 30 years of use the shop air compressor has taken a crap again. 1st it was the not capaitor problem. it was the circuit breaker tripping. then it was the starter swith poping. i sitll think there is something wrong with the 7-1/2 hp electric motor but now we have another bigger problem. the reed valve in the 7-1/2 hp air pump has broken and locked up the pump and damaged the piston. its time to take it apart and fix my air compressor correctly. 1st the pump and then onto the motor.

The time will come , when you get tired of it , and you go down to , your local dollar general , family dollar , or what ever , $10.00 - $12.00 and get some cheap reading glasses . Myself several years ago I found in the over the counter head ache medicine dept. the smallest printed directions I could find and used that to pick out the reading glasses I could read the tiny print the best or easiest with 3.50 . Why buy the cheap glasses ? I have rolled over and broke them , stepped on them , set down on them , dropped tools on them , got paint over spray on them , scratched , you name it , do your self a favor get 3-4 pair , some for the house , the shop , the car and extra .
