Very cool... how do you know how large the segmented parts put together are?? ie, how short/long do you cut each piece? is there a guide that tells you that?

Thank you Alan, Always educational

Pretty cool tool. You see other videos of guys like Frank Howarth struggle with getting the right fit in the segments. Seems like a huge time saver.

lol, what configuration did you use to secure your screw clamp to your miter gauge?
@AskWoodMan7 жыл бұрын
Two clamps. One pinning a cleat block to the miter fence. The other pinning the handscrew to the cleat. Those Festool clamps work great with those thin snouts they have.

is this your creation?

No, I didn't invent the MiterSet jigs (but I wish I had!) It was originally invented in 2006 by Dick Pattee from Tracy, California. He became ill and he sold his patent to Jack Perry, owner of Mancuso Precision Products, an American manufacturer. The original jig was made from Baltic birch plywood, and the updated version is made from anodized, laser-etched aluminum, so the numbers won’t wear off.
