Advent children wasnt bad, I enjoyed the movie. If anything the movie got me interested in FF7 to look past the polygon model gameplay and actually pick up and play it to understand what was going on. FF7 is now one of my favorites.

Few things wrong with this video. Final Fantasy Anthology did indeed compromise FF5 and FF6 in the states, but in Europe FF anthology was actually FF4 and FF5 with FF6 being released as a single release as a port of the SNES version and as a result it had awful load times. Advent children was not bad but that is subjective I guess, however you explained the story wrong. Upon Sephiroths death in FF7 his spirit returned to the life stream as is normal of any living creature in Gia. However his will was so strong that he was able to stop his essence dispersing into the life stream and as a result he was still conscious whilst simultaneously being part of the life stream. He used this to his advantage by creating the Geostigma disease which would only effect people who had jenova cells within them. This was due to failed spehiroth clones breeding as normal humans. He aims to infect them and bring them together for the Reunion which is Hojos theory about jenova cells calling out and finding each other, he wants to do this to be reborn. Kadaj and the other two villains are Sephiroths will made manifest essentially acting puppets, so a lot more involved than you made out. Chocobo racing is not in Final Fantasy X the footage you showed was from final fantasy x's chocoholic training mini game where the objective is to dodge blitzballs and seagulls to train chocobos to be mounts at least that's the lore reason.

Tbh! It’s still basically fanservice, but unlike another fanservice-heavy movie I could mention, there is an actual plot that builds on the original. And let’s be honest, as someone who started their FFVII journey with the movie (I know, stupid decision), it was still enough to draw me in enough to play the OG and I still mostly followed the plot regardless.

His guilt and pain and stigma he wanted to hide from Tifa becauae he feared it would worry her. Which is why he asks Vincent "Are sins ever forgiven?" And he still had the pain when he said to Arieth "But I let you die..."

Supernova is why I never went to level 99 and beat Bizarro & Jenova legit without KotR. Safer has significantly more hp if any character is at max level, and its even more if you use KotR in the previous two fights. I think the HP range is like 80,000 to over 400,000.

There is a counter argument for the Aeris translation. Apparently the kanji literally translates to Aerisu. Japanese letters typically combine a consonant and vowel sound as one letter, and often not having a different sound for 2 common english sounds like L and R or S and TH. The thu, and su sounds are actually the same sound. (I am not an expert, I am merely recalling the argument given by an assumed expert) Either way Aeris is just nicer on the ears and more natural to say on top of the nostalgia of the original release. You only don't like FF7 AC because you obviously are not a fan. It was not created with the unfamiliar in mind. Even if you've played the game, if you are not at least moderately familiar with the deeper lore you will not get it. How could Reeve design the mako reactors if he's only 35 yet they had begun development for 40 years before... he may have been a part of the final design but clearly could not have been THE designer getting the red sub means you can still access key to the ancients, the sunken gelninka and emerald weapon, but you have lost the huge materia for good, may as well reset to your last save. In the early demo of the game tifa is in the first mission and thus she was part of the guard scorpion battle, developers clearly just removed her but the left the dialogue code in.

I never once played the game. Somehow I ran across characters on KZbin with bits and pieces. I became intrigued when I first saw cloud. I watched more and more video clips which led to more and more video clips which led to Advent children which I liked a lot. I am intrigued by the characters but never once played the game and do I want to know. I just want to see more movies and more video clips. Can't wait to see remake number two. Hope they make sephiroth into a hero again. Hopefully working with cloud and zack.
