Would be a dream to just meet these guys and just talk to them about music and just everything! I would of spent the whole day going through Dan and Pat's studio just talking to them about gear and every piece of art and guitar that they had there! Love it! Good interview, good to see that they are still humble and back on the road and ready to rock!

I'm not one of those people who cry "sell outs" because their sound has changed over the years. I understand that that artists change and grow and explore. But I really do miss the sound of Carney's drums the way his drums sounded on Magic Potion.

They pumped out some albums that were not very good after brothers. This new one is dope though. Plus, they put out soooo many killer albums before brothers that, if they retired now, would put them in the category of one of the best rock bands ever imo

One major difference for them as a band is that they were always playing their own stuff. They didn't have to go through burning with cover bands, switching players and dealing with flakes that you couldn't stand living with on the road playing songs that weren't your's and wondering at some point how that would ever grow past the idea that you play covers. Because you can't write and record songs and mix them in thinking one day you might become known for your songs, your original sound. You must start with that first and never stray from it . They got tired of traveling, and all that comes with that down time on the road not what they were doing on stage.

"Let's Rock" is muff cabbage. I've loved the black keys for over a decade now and they got me so hyped only to let me down with this album. I really let myself believe it was going to sound like 2001-2009/10 black keys. It's really just like Turn Blues slightly edgier brother. It's just not that good. Let the hate comments reign in from people who thought brothers was their first album...
