Never felt that connection between whatever song it might be and the person who wrote them. That could also be because a lot of the time now, artists don’t really write their own music or lyrics anymore, SADLY!!😒 For some reason, a lot of the time now, the artist only sings the song but yet has no personal connection to the song whatsoever because it isn’t even their words! Just their voice on the record!! That to me is INCREDIBLY DEPRESSING & SAD AF!! But with Halsey.... Her voice for one is so angelic to my ears!!! And you can feel from your heart that the songs mean something to her!!!! Especially this one!!! That’s the way music needs to be again. It never should have changed. Loved what she said about "eye for an eye." If i give someone an eye, they probably need the eye. But I might need a hand. Relationships, romantic or platonic, is really all about giving what you can offer. Not a trade off, but being open and willing to sacrifice what they need because you both care for each other. If you give someone something, don't always expect to get the same thing back because if they needed it in the first place then they probably aren't in position to give you the same. But it's about reciprocating that willingness for the sake of love. If that makes sense...

Simply Brooklynn I love her and her music, and there’s nothing wrong or offensive about me thinking she looks a certain age! Women can be stunning at any age
@lynsleeg78506 жыл бұрын
Damn I didn't know she was 24. I thought late 20's. 30 isn't old! I'm 34..... she does give pink vibes. But anyone every hear her interviews? She talks about dumb stuff and makes herself look stupid. She has good music beautiful face/body/voice and still 1 of the most hated singers. Lol

“Struggle feeds creativity” -Halsey So true
@sarahbisa16 жыл бұрын
She’s so genuine... truly inspiring.. What’s she’s talking about is giving love to people the way they need it, and not the way you think they need it. Not giving an eye for an eye like she said, but reciprocating in the way that others need... that’s love language. You have to speak someone else’s love language in order for them to understand it, feel it, and reciprocate it as love.
@sarahbisa15 жыл бұрын
@Abby Lowe Yes basically, but its more in that she's describing something that is inherent in every person's subconscious, yet for some reason most people are unaware of it, so when someone who has the creative eyes and understanding to see it for what it is and then speak about it, it brings out a huge "Ahah!" moment in a lot of people, like they suddenly realize "Yes I get that, and I want it too!"

I love how Halsey speaks of the homeless community... I myself was homeless last year (2017) for 7 months because I am a lesbian, and I plan on marrying my soulmate. And no one was supportive of us (they still aren't) and that has caused a lot of issues for us. So many young people are abandoned and abused and misunderstood, and their lives are destroyed by the very people that they reach out to, respect and love. And it's a serious problem.

Without Me hits the part of me that was wounded when my husband had an affair. Still a very big open wound, but this is exactly how I felt when we were separated. Had a very similar conversation with him as the lyrics in this song. We ended up reconciling but it’s a very sensitive part of me.

Same..that song still comforts me. Mine had an affair the week before during and after our 14th anniversary. I make him listen to it. He says nothing. We separated a while, and that song was all I listened to, on repeat. Some days it really really gets to me. And that's when it goes back on repeat. We will make it. We will be ok. If it wasnt for her and her music it's hard to say what I would have done and even would have done to myself.

With an extremely beautiful voice, as well as having the gift to be able to express her thoughts emotions and feelings through her writing and SINGING. Her vocal resonance is Heavenly Spiritual. Coupling all of that with some great ( musicians ) & people in the production and studio. She has a beautiful Soul, and is a beautiful young woman. SHE IS MOST EXCELLENT.
