Shawn Rhymes here, and I'm enjoying this video. Way back in the day I got a ride home in a little 2 seater, front and back, and I loved it. 10 years after that I worked with an old man who had his pilots license. He told me a story about trying to fly over the Blue Mountains in Washington going to Boise in a Piper Cub. That didn't work well in a strong head wind. He turned it around and went back to Walla Walla. That was decades ago. Now I have a nephew that teaches flying in that part of the country. Thanks for posting this video.

They're affected by temperatures just as any other aircraft would be. It handles winds better than fixed wing because of the rotary wing. Turbulence isn't as severe in a gyro. In the US,.you can get a light sport pilot -gyroplane certificate with as little as 20 hours of instruction.

It takes 20-30 seconds to prerotate the rotors. This is a towered airport and they are familiar with our operation and space traffic accordingly. There's no inconvenience to anyone.
