We are Brigitta and Hannes. For almost 3 years we have been sailing from the French Atlantic coast with our catamaran MariaNoa a Lagoon 40 on the so-called Barefoot route across the Atlantic criss-crossing the Caribbean. MariaNoa is our only home. At the same time, it is a vehicle in which we want to feel safe even in extreme situations.
To create so much space in such a short length makes compromises in the performance. Catamarans are usually said to be comparatively fast. Unfortunately, this is not the case with our boat.
Length runs. This also applies to catamarans. But length also costs money. You have to afford what you can and want.
3 years ago we did a walkaround in our KZbin film #8. We showed you our ship as we bought it in France including lagoon equipment and solar conversion.
After 3 years of long journeys, in this walkaround we would like to particularly point out the changes that are important for us on long journeys.

We are Brigitta and Hannes. We sail around the world together. For this we bought a catamaran with which we set off on the barefoot route from the French Atlantic coast at the beginning of March 2021.
For many years, sailing around the world had been my (Hanne's) big dream, which I wanted to realize when I reached retirement age for work-related reasons. But sometimes life turns out differently than you planned. In spring 2020 I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Suddenly my life sped up considerably, I sold my house, cleared out the household contents and started buying mountains of marine equipment. “Cast off!” was planned for the beginning of March 2021 - and that’s what happened, despite Corona.
Brigitta was of course completely surprised at first, even though a circumnavigation fit much better into her professional life as a pre-retiree than into mine. In the last 6 months she has made an amazing development and is looking forward to our big adventure just like I am.
Plan International is an international children's aid organization. On our trip we don't just want to chill in dream bays but also visit Plan program countries and document the work there.

I guys just found your channel, we are on a Lagoon 400S2, we left in 2015 from Canada 🇨🇦, 43,000nm and we still love our boat. Currently in Thailand 🇹🇭 Our boats are similarly equipped, I agree with your comment that all we lack is waterline. That said I’ve had 2 200nm days. Fair winds 👍

@@tlevans62 I absolutely agree. Brands like Apple use the reactions of their customers intensively. Lagoon does the opposite - I have no idea why. And it is not the dealer, it`s the wharp itself. You wouldn`t believe what they shouted me. There are a lot of stories. I´m a vandalist, it is my fout, ...

Ganz lieben Dank! Wenn diesmal alles klappt wird morgen ein Sensor in den Motor eingebaut und dann können wir endlich vom Steg ablegen, die Autopiloten Kalibrieren, tanken etc und Mittwoch nach Panama aufbrechen.

Schade ich hatte einen deutschen Kanal abonniert,wenn ihr wie Jambo erst die deutsche Version gebracht hättet, ok. Ich wollte einen kleinen deutschen Kanal unterstützen,englische gibt es schon genug. Dann gehe ich zum englischen Original z.B. Delos ist eh besser gemacht
